Anders, 17 Jul 2019Xiaomi has been disappointing in Europe. This is ridiculous... moreDude i can get Samsung s7 for 150 euro too so what ? Dont compare phones that are year old and have already dropped there price few times. Compare phones with it that are made this year and isnt over 3 months old.

I buy budget price phones only and when i buy my self a new phone i sure wont be buying my self a year plus old model. You pretty much dont have better option for this price with Android One a phone that isnt older then 3 months. While these phones you compare are not with Android One then compare them and there hardware with MIUI phones.

                                      People, people, oh people!

Of course Mi A3 is a bad deal! Do you really think Xiaomi would put their best foot forward in terms of hardware when it is being preloaded with Google’s software instead of MiUi? Nada!

Do I need to spell out them reasons? ok, for your sake( cause I am kind like that :)):

                                      1. Google Android with timely updates equally the possibility that some people would realise that they prefer it over MiUi...then those people can migrate to any OEM having software close to Google’s implementation...it is like investing in your own negative advertising! Why do you think Samsung and HTC stopped the play editions of their flagships? (not that they were launched in several markets to begin with).

                                      2. Ad revenue loss: MiUi in certain countries have ads, a source of monetization for Xiaomi. Pure Goole software = no ads. Plus, No Xiaomi bloatware/ services. Again, which OEM would give the best possible hardware for the budget, when it means that you are just opning up more avenues to loose revenue?

                                      3. Lost access to your private data: You data on you smartphone would no longer be available(or should I say, easily accessible) to Xiaomi. As we all know very well by now, data has overtaken natural energy reserves as the MOST important resource. The best part about this resource? People don’t fully understand how it can be used to manipulate you. Case in point: Cambridge Analytica scandal. Don’t know how many more such scandals are yet to be unearthed and what damage would they be doing.
