Four HTC Wildfire models leak, more may be on the way

17 July 2019
Wildfire, Wildfire E, Wildfire E Plus and Wildfire E1 - that's a whole family of entry-level phones. HTC has also trademarked Wildfire E2, E3 and R.

Well this is disappointing. Nothing but the name left.

"With a MediaTek Helio P23 chipset, the Wildfire is also the most powerful phone in the lineup"
Yup, these are gonna suck. I predict a big fail.

I stopped reading once I saw the words 'Mediatek' , '720P' , and 2GB RAM.

        RIP HTC

Forget the specs, my eyes are on the compact Wildfire E w/ the 5.45" display! Not sure how well the other models will do, but if HTC plays their cards right and heavily markets that compact phone, I could see it doing reasonably well.

              Will be a huge fail

Now that HTC has adopted the notch, we can safely say that there's no mainstream manufacturer left that hasn't had a phone with the dreaded notch

The best budget phone to me looks to be the Nokia 2.2. Removable battery and it's an Android One with Pie out of the box. It's also only 146 mm tall and the design is decent enough. I don't care about no fingerprint scsnner. I am a little worried of the SoC it has.

The biggest mistake Google did to the Pixel brand was telling HTC to make it and acquiring it

HTC has the worst hardware engineers in the universe, their dreaded design makes the effect on pixel phones, which look ugly and disastrous

Weak specs and clones which we have seen many times before. Tragic.

Yesssss! More compact models please! Thank you HTC! (even though I'm probably never going to buy your phone after you butchered the Android 8 for HTC 10, leaving it half-done with extremely bad battery life... Still nice to see more and more compact models)

Wasn't Wildfire just terrible back in the day?
