lmfao... Belle is smoother and more stable than ICS, so I don't know why this is "unfortunate". Nokia's S3 platform has matured to a level where it is very competitive against other OS's and despite what Elop and others say about not having a "plan B" , I think they're lying.

Nokia will have their hands full trying to prevent the 808 PureView from dominating the show. Can't wait

What do you mean by 'unfortunately'?

People have the choice to choose which OS that suit them. Who said that Symbian(Nokia) Belle is bad and dead? Dead means it doesn't exist anymore. For god sake, Belle is still much much better than the other for me. I can control my internet usage much better than the other. Here in Indonesia, using lots of bandwith means a lot of money to spend :(

Nokia 808 is definitely my next phone, I don't what other people say. I'm still in love with Symbian and I'll stick with it till time.

Why is there a word "unfortunately" accompanied with Symbian Belle? An OS that would be still receiving support until 2016 isn't bad at all.
Besides, just count the total number of people who has given positive remarks about Belle.
Somehow, describing Belle as unfortunate only conditions the mind of first-time smartphone users that Symbian Belle is really a bad OS, well in fact is the most user-friendly and virus-resistant OSes of all.

I note that this news article and many others refer to the N8 successor as being "the most capable cameraphone to date" or as it having "the largest sensor on any smartphone to date". So that describes the Nokia N8 already does it not? That means that after the release of the 808 Nokia will have the two most capable cameraphones and first and second biggest sensors instead of only the first biggest.

I have sgs2x, I think belle is on par compare to gingerbread 2.36 and this 808 should be able to upgrade to the next C and D nokia OS... hope it has better CPU.

Belle is nokia's version of android, the only big difference is android is open source and symbian isn't... so if you like it so much buy a droid... oh and everybody who is arguing about the n8 and xperia arc s, the xperia arc s is newer and a little better so the 808 is going to crush it.

Symbian is an old smartphone platform dating since the early 2000s.
Nokia's strategy has turned Symbian redundant but the fact is that it is the ONLY smart platform that can be used also as a phone (and NOT as small gadgety-computer).
And some people really love that!
