      Huawei ban is not lifted! Anoroid is better. Even though they make an Os they will have no access to us based company apps like facebook!

          Omasha90, 19 Jul 2019I hope they develop it for smartphones, I would like to try... morefrom their description it seems Hongmeng OS is a real-time microkernel/OS. so it probably doesn't use Linux because Linux by itself is not a real-time OS.

          I have no doubt that Hongmeng can be made into a smartphone OS but it will definitely take time to develop (not to mention to bring developers onboard) and it will take a few iterations before it can become a serious competitor to the established phone OSes

            I hope they develop it for smartphones, I would like to try something different than android.
