So Asus didn't want to sell 1st ROG Phone because it lacks some feature and essential, now this 2nd gen was a hardcore specs people would want in future. Props to Asus for their products in 2019.

      Highly impressive specs on this!

Whats the point of the 120hz screen ? There are not even much games that support 60fps and then think of the screen need 120 fps to make the 120hz work

I'm certain that the century you live in is an utmost primitive one...

We don't need your lecture. People have their own reason and money for buying something expensive regardless of what you said.

Anyway, this phone sounds great. High refresh rate display should be the new standard for phone.

Shui8, 22 Jul 2019I think the ecosystem makes ROG 2 greater. https://youtu.b... moreI get that and I respect your opinion but I still don't see the point of investing so much money on a smartphone that can play the same games as any other smartphone. And there are plenty of similar gaming accessories and peripherals out there for regular smartphones. A phone like this makes sense if there were any really great Android games. It kind of reminds me of the original Nvidia Shield and how it tried to popularize Android gaming, and we all know how that went.

                All these high-horse comments aside...

Holy crap, even if you're not a gamer, these specs for a phone are DESTRUCTIVE! Such a shame that, if those are the LTE bands, that it's still missing some coverage...dang it.

Is it so hard to have global bands for optimal connectivity and versatility?

I need this one for free

Guys I understand this is another of the very few really bada*s phones lately but the article sounds like a shameless advert... as if you reprinted an Asus press statement word by word. (No offence, just an imho.)

BTW the 1st Rog Phone is still quite hard to find where I live ^_^ and for a sane price... forget it

Anonymous, 22 Jul 2019Did you ever hear about emulators? You're the second person to mention emulators. If you care about playing old titles then why buy an expensive phone like the ROG Phone II instead of getting something cheaper and better like the Switch? It's capable of playing both retro games and newer, more advanced titles.
