Now he is claiming that they got manipulated by xiaomi 🙄, I will say that he got manipulated by himself with his overconfidence of claiming other people getting manipulated. Who is he to claim and having the right to have a price drop to begin with. If price is bad, buy other phone

Damn, in what a world we live now... give people a good smartphone with a good price and they make petition to get it cheaper. I don't see Indians going crazy about other phones priced double than the K20 line with specs that don't justify it. Jesus!

Its a well known fact that starting salaries in govt. sector are high.

So, its true that you get a motorcycle for $4000, which we can easily get for $1500....
But my monthly salary (as a qualified College lecturer) is $200. I'm from a small city. Its sufficient for my needs, but I've no idea what I'll save.
Old timers do get upto $1000 or so, but that's it. Now you understand. :)

They don't also control import taxes of parts and even the whole phone itself. Varying prices by region does not just goes up without any reason. You can't just transport millions of phones to any regions without incurring huge taxes on the process.
