From the image i see that the kernel version is 2.6XXX but iCS comes with 3.0.xxx version of kernal... , so it is 2.3 kernel with ICS theme on top of it ...

quad core is there so that you finish processing your app faster, therefore having better battery life.

market need better camera as well as better screen and processing power because 1GHz dual core is more than enough. 8MP is not good enough to be leader. Samsung will win hearts consumers again with backlit high resolution camera

Your battery would have drained before you could even look at 1/10 of the stuff you have on your phone.
