Anonymous, 28 Jul 2019Yeah like seriously a way way better buy. Even Galaxy A50 w... moreA50 is trash. It has better display but everything else sucks. Mi a3 is a far better deal

I'm super glad people are not blindly fanboying Xiaomi on this one. Right now, Xiaomi is scouting how far they can go with prices before they start losing their customers, and the outrage about Redmi K20 and now about Mi A3 clearly shows that if they raise the prices too much, the fans will turn their backs.

In the end it means that Xiaomi will be forced to keep the prices low, which will inevitably lead to tougher competition, which is ultimately a good news for everyone (except for manufacturers, tsk-tsk)

Here's how to fix the situation:
(with the rest of the features/specs left unchanged)

Xiaomi Mi A3 Lite, should be between Euro 150-200 (or USD $200-$250) and have:
      - 1080p-IPS, 4GB RAM, 64GB UFS 2.1, SoC between QSD 636, 665, 670, 660

Xiaomi Mi A3 Fit, should be between Euro 250-300 (or USD $300-$350) and have:
      - 1080p-AMOLED, 6GB RAM, 128GB UFS2.1, SoC between QSD 675, 710, 712, 730

Xiaomi Mi A3 Pro, should be between Euro 550-600 (USD $600-$650) and have:
      - 1080p-AMOLED, 8GB RAM, 256GB UFS3.0, SoC between QSD 855, 855+
      - IP68, OIS, TV-out/USB 3.0 TypeC

Most of us expected cc9 to be MiA3 while CC9e is MiA3 lite, but Xiaomi only give us CC9e for now, and without NFC lol

People are so blind about xiaomi... Tbh if this same display provide by oppo or vivo than people start to abuse that phone

I don't really understand why people are knocking it for having a 720P screen. I have a phone with a 720P screen and I rarely ever notice it's 720P, if anything it'll save a good amount of battery since it's also an OLED screen.

Rick, 28 Jul 2019Yes, I think $200 is reasonable priceTrue, price of 180-200 is suitable for it. It's current one is not.

If they had just put in a Snapdragon 675 and a 1080p panel it would have been perfect. Sad to see Xiaomi no longer offering the best value, but are more concerned about protecting Miui and their other products in their phone lineup..

bronziesmurf, 28 Jul 2019The only reason to buy this phone is if you are legally blind. Not really. If the price drop to the point where its around $180, it's still worth buying.

Comparing the a2 lite and a3 i see no reason to buy the a3, unless you're desperate for the camera upgrade, smaller notch, amoled(insted of lcd), faster gpu(which is overkill for a 720p screen) and a usb-c port. Better get the a2 lite or if you can wait for a better phone.
