Huawei says the Mate X is still not ready for market

27 July 2019
The team is committed to quality before anything else and apparently Samsung's plans are not a major consideration.

Honestly, who cares about folding phones, they're basically an expensive novelty. Another example of useless "innovation". Why would a normal person spend 2K on a phone. This is as pointless as a front-facing flash.

johnwick, 30 Jul 2019huawei design have wider radius therefore it is less likely... moreIt´s not about radius tho, no problem with folding and unfolding. The problem arose when you pushed a particular part of the screen too much. The thin layer that the display is was too thin and you could destroy digitizer beneath it. Samsung had to make changes and now it´s reinforced.

After having Galaxy Fold in my hands(my pal works at Sammy), I can say calmly, there is NO WAY this out folding concept will succeed. Folding display is extremely fragile even with the inward folding (that´s why Samsung added some extra layers under the display because you could damage it with your bare hands if you knew where to push). On the other hand, he uses it for more than 3 months and it´s still working without issues, you just have to know how to handle it.

The selling price is $650 in my country.

HUAWEI is using Cortex A-76 and A-55 in Kirin 810, which is a 7nm chip use in the midrange phone like HONOR 9X, the selling price is estimated not more than $250 in my country.

Khuan, 28 Jul 2019Most people are using cloud storage now. thank goodness the most you're referring to are actually the 'least'...

cloud storage is useless when the power goes out, the servers goes out either due to power outage or being taken down, the internet goes out due to network outage... put it simply, everything goes to a stop...

memory card has its own risk as well, but you can always duplicate the so-important-data you have so if one goes out the other can take over, also a memory card reader is replaceable and you can buy as many as you wish...
