One thing is the curved screen of my Note9 (which doesn't bother me, even when using S-Pen), and other totally different is this 88 degree curved display.
This is what happens when aesthetics gets in the way of ergonomics and usability.

Looks beautiful. The Mate 30 Pro is expected to come with a similar screen as well.
It is pretty obvious that reducing the bezels to a bare minimum is the trend these days, so it makes perfect sense to fully kill the side bezel.

Looks cool but removing buttons is bad cause of accidental touches and stuff and there should be an option reduce display area or make those sides display different content and first rumored with this type of display is Mate 30 Pro

Aesthetics wise, these curves look extremely great.
Functionality wise, I feel like these devices require a ton of palm rejection optimisation to get it right, and even then, often it just doesn't feel great - even with a case on the phone.
I personally find curvy edges uncomfortable to hold.

I have been using an S9 for over a year ... & While I am a big fan of Camers & Display Quality , I cant say the same about the Curved Display. Basically 2 reasons, despite the fact that Samsung has reduced the curves considerably, I would like to mention 2 very practical problems.
1) Armour case, Anything less than a UAG or Spigen case & you are exposing those beautiful Edges to... CRACKS. & I have seen quite a few.
2) Tempered Glasses, while the curves on an S9 doesn't eat into content per say, finding a tempered glass is a pain, and forget about a resonably priced one.

I'd prefer viewing all my photos in full glory flat screen estate without any annoying bendings at top/bottom or sides..

More on just to "Show off" but not practical. Imagine finding a case/tempered glass protection for that.

Samsung already done this with the S6 edge and identified that it wasn't practical and they reduced the slope continuously
