They should disable display in curved sides. Seeing the icons curved like in the pics is stupid.

After using S6 edge im not a fans of curved screen anymore, good design, but not practical and have a really hard time looking for good case and tempered glass.

This only confirms the Chinese bias on this website. Anything Samsung does - bad, anything Chinese manufacturer does - great.

You've got to realise that looks are everything in this stupid superficial world.
I sold my S9 to get an S10e specifically because of the flat display. I hated the experience on the S9 and missed my S7.
However, both regulat s10 and s10+ far outsell the s10e.
Looks sell, and as long people keep buying dumb stuff companies will keep selling.

Curved screens have been around for a couple years now and there's a reason why it didn't catch on.
FYI, some of us have already been exposed to/using curved screens since Samsung Note Edge, so yea, curved screen issues do exists and are very real, well-documented problems.

OP7 Pro user - curved screen actually doesn't get in the way, no ghost/mis touches and even at high viewing angles the image doesn't distort when in full screen and zoom to fill. Even without zoom fill the only thing you see is a slight curve at the edge of the video - which unless you're actively looking for it, you don't see.
This Oppo is quite extreme on it's curve and I don't think this is a great idea.
Also, all the curve haters, I'm waiting for Apple to release a curved screen to see how many of you change your tune.
FTR - I was dubious about curved screens before I got this. I now have no problems with the way Samsung and OP have done it. If all you've done is seen one at the store, you can't really complain. Skepticism is fine, but actively complaining about something you have never tried or used is the same mentality that holds back any innovation. Companies try to make phones that look different and stand out - people complain. Companies make flat glass slabs - people complain.

Curved screen is dumb. Sure, it looks cool when the devices are on display in the store, but it refracts light, and usability is a nightmare.

Nice experiment Oppo. But no, it's not adding anything to using the phone. Rather a nuisance because you really can't hold the phone right. Might be best if you use the resources on working this one into under display camera. They offer better benefit than all around screen.
