Well, good on the Indians to nab a solid mid-ranger for an affordable price. Congrats guys!
I'm REALLY hoping for an HTC flagship though. This would make them phenomenal:
1. 6" 16:9 ratio 2K LCD with 90Hz refresh rate display (or 120Hz refresh IGZO from Razer)
2. 20W Wireless Charging
3. Wide-Angle cam in the rear
4. 6GB RAM, 128GB ROM / 8GB RAM, 256GB ROM; both with MicroSD card slot
5. FRONT-facing stereo speakers
6. Headphone jack (not likely unfortunately)
7. IR Blaster
8. Snapdragon X50/55 with ABSOLUTE Global bands (1,2,3,4,5,7,8,12,13,17,19,20,21,25,26,28,29,30,32,34,38,39,40,41,46,48,66,71 with all GSM/CDMA BC0,BC1,BC10/1xEv-D0) so it can be used EVERYWHERE.
9. At the helm, 5,000+ mAH battery; no excuses.
All while being priced below $800. That's how they can come back into the fold to kill them all.

However 3 HTC flagships had complaints of devices bricking after updates; Also HTC is dead, so it must have been for a reason right??

You can't do like that....after exiting the market....trust factors goes missing!! If you going to flood the market with VFM stuffs ready to play low ball games, you can't re-enter with great success.....Google Pixel mobiles are next in the line for exit

No, people will purchase HTC smartphones over Chinese smartphones even if they launch smartphones in 15k to 30-40k price range.

Bought HTC U11 paying 52K when it was released in india. Barely got 3 security and 1 major update of android thats it. No PIE and I lost the phone with no hopes, no complains in build department, but software BIG NO. Sense ?? How many engineers were working on Sense UI ? 2 or 3 ? Huh .... HTC you need to wake up, India need Quality software and above average build that at least comes for 2 years, or else you have another major failure awaiting.

1- using terrible hardware for camera. So even with good software their cameras will be worse than the competetion
2-they will use mediateck helio a22 and p22
3- i don't see why they will remove the headphone jack
4-no the phones will start from 100 to 200 or 250$
