02 August 2019
This would be the first time the United States saw Exynos-powered variants of its flagship since the Galaxy S6.

So Note 10 "Lite" is a total downgrade from S10/S10+ and Note 10 regular is a partial downgrade

Samsung wants to make more money on Note 10, it will make same cheap sh.. for US too. :( Good job Samsung.

On a serious note, Real-life performance & battery life are actually similar on both. The difference only shows on benchmarks & lab tests, which doesn't matter to most users.

Also, the SoC has no real effect on camera quality. The difference comes from the two different sensors Samsung uses (Sony IMX Series & Samsung ISOCELL Series).

Exynos 9825 is built on a new 7nm EUV lithography, it´s the most advanced manufacture process we got, so why the obsession with SD?

Fake news! Exynos and Snapdragon are not comparable in performance and battery life... Exynos is significantly worse in both.

Exynos licks booty. Back in the s8 it could achieve 4k 60fps recording when the snapdragon 835 couldn't but if you're gonna give someone an 8nm exynos over a 7nm overclocked snapdragon today you're just saving costs.

                                    Exynos jus sucks

I think it's better to go for Exynos as it gives Sammy phones a exclusive appeal (kind of how Kirin SoCs give a special appeal to Huawei phones).

Also, the current Exynos SoC supports 8k 30fps video recording. If Samsung enables it on the Note 10, that'll make a good selling point too.

Anonymous, 02 Aug 2019is there any chance that sd 855 variant on note 10 models b... moreProbably the Chinese model, and these usually get DualSIM and Unlocked Bootloaders.
The only issue seems to be that Samsung rarely pushes out OTA updates for these variants, and because they're a bit rare, actual developers don't get their hands on it and make ROMs for it.

Although I have beef with the last statement in this article; "don't be concerned about getting the Exynos variant". No way. It is my money, and I am paying over $1,000 for it. I should be worried.

For instance, the Samsung S8 had an Exy-8895 version which was almost as fast and efficient as the QSD-835 version. But the S9-Exy-9810 was barely any faster and barely as efficient as the S8-QSD-835 version. Then came the S10-Exy-9820 which again was barely faster and barely more efficient than the S9-QSD-845. Whereas the S10-QSD-855 sits head and shoulders above the Exynos version in both performance and efficiency.

Now, this isn't me bagging out the Exynos chips. In fact, the S7-Exy-8890 was actually slightly faster and more efficient than the QSD 820/821 chipset. And the S6-Exy-7420 was much faster and efficient than the dreaded QSD 810. And even before that, the Exynos 5433 was again faster and more efficient than the QSD 805 chipset. Before that was the QSD 801, QSD 800, and QSD 600 chipsets which were better than their Exynos variants. And going before that, each Exynos version was superior to QSD alternatives of its time (Note 2, S3, Note, S2, S1). So there have been wins, losses, and ties on both teams of chipsets.
