Here's why the Galaxy Note10 and Note10+ don't have a headphone jack

07 August 2019
The company anticipated the backlash, and thus had a few reasons at the ready.

for those who support the removal of headphone jack, just think about this...if any of you has note 10, do you think you have aptx hd installed into your phone???
and do you think by using cheap bt buds you can get the same sound quality as the wired one??? and have you ever thought about how long you can use your bt earbuds until it is out of energy?? i don't want to talk about adc dongle ones because even old phone with usb type c can use it without removing its own jack...

I'm glad that Note 10+ does not have 3.5mm jack, because it makes this phone even worse. It adds one more item to the list of why the LG V20 is better than Note 10+.

Why LG V20 is better than Note 10+:
        -removable battery
        -3.5mm jack
        -FM Radio
        -IR blaster remote
        -call recording
        -second screen
-intelligent design (16:9 screen, no rounded edges and corners of the screen, useful bezels, no glass back)

For people who have nice 3.5mm headphone jack collection and wants to use it with Note 10, you can buy Hidizs Sonata HD or Tempotec Sonata HD USB C cable. Its equipped with DAC inside and yes its converted to analogue signal decently. It's small and convenient and I used it with wireless charging, so that's is my solution.

To decide to remove this function on the Note series is a bad move, maybe they'll bring the jack back in future when graphene batteries become viable?

I knew already that the jack connector does not take much space, but takes 100mAh off only from the battery?! Why samsung is that stupid to tell it everyone? :)

And regardless my point was right. If SD being way more thorough, safe, and useful is useless and old in your eyes because SD can technically fail too....
Then by your logic since anything can be hacked and viruses can get through... Then anti virus is useless.

Anything can be hacked if you are good enough and know how.

I backup anything useful or important that I want to keep to my freebie bundled 512gb microSD card (that I also backup to my 1tb external hard drive once or twice a year in case of loss or theft).

I keep my Note9 in a drop proof (MIL-STD-810G-516.7) case & I save the money instead of paying insurance.

I wouldn't want USB-C headphones/ audio output to aux, because I like to keep the device charged at the same time, which I can if I use the 3.5mm audio port.
Maybe it would be okay if it had 2 USB-C ports, or a balanced 2.5mm audio port, Idk how useful the former would be, & would they take up less room?
It'll be interesting if any excuses are used when these graphene batteries land.

BT headphones like the on ear Sony WH-1000XM3 or the in ear Sony WF-1000XM3 are now good enough now, no argument there, but if you have a favourite pair of 3.5mm cans, or need/ want to link to any amplifier via aux (whilst charging), then that option shouldn't be made obsolete.

Dedicated portable music players like the Cowon Plenue D2 or the Astell & Kern A&norma SR15 still use the 3.5mm audio port, if they removed it, it would be a bad move.

When this Note9 finally becomes a backup to a new device, I'll use it a music player hooked up to my HiFi amp via 3.5mm jack to L&R RCA's, yeah it might not be as great as these PMP'S, but for whatever exists in the smartphone world, I'm sure it'll still be amongst the best.
                                https://m.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_note9-review-1805p3.php

P.s. Gsmarena, I'm hoping to see the Samsung Galaxy Note9 long term review, I don't mind when (especially as it maybe be receiving further feature/ improvements alongside those monthly OTA updates).

It would also be useful to those whose want to compare it against the new Note10(+).

Lol, what a shitty explanation 100mah is nothing on those big batteries, who cares about some vibrant heptic feedbacks? The real reason was obviously to sell shit loads of crappy wireless earbuds, simple as that
