Akinaro, 12 Aug 2019You should mention that charing that device is pain. You ne... moreDunno about that. U only charge every 3-4 weeks. So long i forgot i have to charge it. When u know how to do it, its really easy to remove n put it back back in.

My biggest irk is the app, I'm using Notify & fitness and while it's a little quirky, it's a bit more detailed.

As much as I like its value-for-money appeal, I'm not sure about owning one. To be brutally honest, I am leaning towards Fitbit's Inspire HR. Sure it costs around two to three times more expensive. but being Fitbit means I have confidence with their fitness technology. This is a rather conflicting decision here.

YRDN, 12 Aug 2019Opening your app, you'll see a graph of your sleep score. T... moreThat is not an answer to my question!
Question was: does it track short naps over daytime?
Mi bands 1, 2 and 3 do not so that....they track only if you go to sleep after 6pm (so it's not good for shifts workers, either).
Also, this band do not track your sleep phases (since it can't measure blood pressure), it's just calculating it...

Sorry to agree with a previous comments, but I am used to read way better reviews from Gsmarena.
This is not a review, maybe more an unboxing. Nothing about the screen, menu, waterproof rating, and more important for an fitness tracker, nothing about what and how well it tracks.
Other reviews are testing how accurate this traker is, and it looks like is way off. I agree is cheap, but I will not buy it to show me the time.

palacinka, 12 Aug 201935€ and no GPS ??? who buys that crap lolThis isn't a real smartwatch, this is more of a fitness tracker. It isn't meant to have GPS in the first place.

You should mention that charing that device is pain. You need to remove it from band put in charger and repeat it everytime.

eb0x, 12 Aug 2019Did you actually use this band, or have you just read the p... moreThank you for your questions. At GSMArena we simply cannot afford to write about devices we haven't personally tested. I obviously used the band, as you can see from the images but if you do not trust me or my colleagues, then that is too sad because we are working hard on proving ourselves and our genuine opinion, based on years of experience with mobile technology.

As someone who is proficient with trail running, ultra-marathons, and also participated at the World Skyrunning Series, I know that running with the Mi Band 4 could be better. But that's why I don't even try to make the point - if you are into running and tracking your stats, this obviously isn't the device for your data - this is a band for your daily use. As someone who tried various gadgets, diets, techniques and whatever related to improving your performance springs to mind, I want to give you an advice - don't run for stats, run for yourself.

Yes, the band does not reveal everything it collects. It gives you the basics and I agree better control over what is recorded and how it is delivered should be provided to users.

Yes, the band is not linked with Spotify. It should play the music running on the default music player, and we both know Spotify is a third-party app. If the Mi Band 4 could connect to external apps, I would've mentioned it.

I appreciate your feedback and will use it to provide more clarity in future reviews.

schell, 12 Aug 2019I can't understand why people don't talk about the flaws mi... moreprobably cuz its super cheap and has all the basic functions you need. more complex exercise you do, complex equipment will be needed.

I have fairly light requirement - measuring heart rate, duration in a controlled enviornment like gym (doing again fairly basic cardio and some weight). I don't have any need for GPS, elevation chnages etc. There will be far more people in this category then those who need more complex requirement like yours. If this doesn't fit you, you simply have to look at other makes who does..at obviously higher price because what you need is more complex.

I use Huawei's GT watch..and it does everything I need, but comparing the price for it from £150 to mi band 4 at £35...yeah kinda no brainer that I would go for mi band if I didn't already have a smartwatch.

Did you actually use this band, or have you just read the publicity?

I have the Mi Band 4, and I really like it. However there are multiple deficiencies, especially with the Mi Fit app.

                      1) The running measurement is way out (50%!) as you can't change step length.
                      2) The app does not show all the data that the band collects activities on. Swimming details are not shown on the top bar, nor are other fitness activities, only walking and running.
                      3) The manual does not explain how to use the band fully. It apparently will control music, but this does not work with Spotify.

After one week with the band I'm still learning what works well. If anyone knows some workarounds for these issues, please post

The band knows when you slept deep and when you didn't. It also gives you averages about your sleep regularities and with a bit of user experience saying how do you feel, the Mi Band will calculate better with time when it's time for you to go to bed.

I can't understand why people don't talk about the flaws mi band 4 has. I have one for about a month. It doesn't have BMR ( basal metabolic rate ) which means you don't get to see how many calories you burn during the day. It only counts active calories like when you set an exercise. You can share its information with Google fit but step count it's not the same in the mi fit app and Google fit app, go figure. When I go mountain biking I specifically set that so it gets to track me using the phone's gps, but for some reason it counts random steps, lots of them, even though it knows I'm on a bike. Also it doesn't track elevation, I'm mean it's using the phones GPS but for some limitation it doesn't track elevation at all. The mi fit app doesn't have the option to share my exercises with strava. Yes it's cheap, and comfy and the battery lasts a lot but if you really need a fitness band to track calories and help you with exercise unfortunately mi band it's far from being your best option.

Does it tracking your sleep only once a day (at night), or it can find out when you have short naps over the day?
I had Mi band 1, and Mi band 2, my wife has some Honor band and non of those cant track sleep in that short naps.
