                    Why is this toxic comment section talking about globalization and not the new Mate 30 smartphones lol you Chinese natives, zealots and sympathizers used that poor naive guys comment as a platform to vent your anger and frustration when in fact you guys are just as naive as he is. Look, I'm all for competition and I'd love to see a viable alternative OS because I'm getting tired of Android and I dislike iOS but Huawei isn't going to beat Google's OS, especially if it doesn't have strong app support. I know Harmony OS can run Android apps but if it relies too much on said apps to succeed then why not get a really good Android smartphone and run apps that are built for that specific platform? People aren't going to switch simply because it's a different OS lol. If HarmonyOS doesn't look as good as iOS and stock Android and if it doesn't have great original apps that are optimized to run on Huawei's new platform or if it can't run Android apps better than Android itself especially on low-end, mid-range smartphones then it'll flop like every other mobile OS that came before and after Android. It'll probably do well in China and some nearby countries but that's it.

                      With a company that big, they have plants all over the place. It's hard to keep track of them all. You'd be forgiven not to know them all. Especially since the company's branches are independent (batteries are made by Samsung SDI for instance and they run their business separately from Semiconductors, Appliances, Display, Mobile etc.

That means that if Huawei wants, they can get all of China on board in the development of Harmony. they have more than enough people for an open beta test and they can get other companies involved like Xiaomi and Oppo. Initially it would be tough but if USA can play the patriotism game China can as well and has all resources to win.

                              If Asian manufacturers are really serious to build their own OS, Android will be a goodbye. I mean, 8 out of TOP10 phone vendors are Asian.
                              Name it Samsung, LG, Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, Huawei, Lenovo(moto), indian that i forgot.

                              Samsung could try it with Tizen but they gave up.

                              Actually maybe only Apple that rarely succeed with its own OS. Nokia once failed with Symbian, MeeGo, and Windows.

                              Or no, it's Google that's being very evil. They dont want other os to shine so they wont support it.
