Samsung Galaxy Note10+: first Exynos 9825 benchmarks

19 August 2019
The Exynos 9825 is the first chipset built on the 7nm EUV process. The S10+ used an Exynos 9820 built on Samsung's older 8nm process.

It their GPU, MALI GPU which is TRASH compared Adreno / PowerVR A11, inefficient, hot, and cheaply made. that's why Samsung licenses new NAVI IP last June (?) from AMD, same GPU technology for next generation PS5 and XBOX. We all know ADRENO also derivatives from ATI/AMD gpu technology. Intel also license this GPU IP for their next gen CPU.

Nvidia does not allow custom GPU so in 2-3 years, majority gpu (not desktop tho) will be ATI or NAVI derivatives means no problem for optimization / compability.

Samsung got access to HBM and own fabs. If he doesn't care about cost, he can license chiplet design from AMD and we can get phone with 1000+GB/s HBM (okay, maybe half to reduce power consumption), instead

Samsung should use Snapdragon on all its flagships and make the Exynos the mid range chip ... this is what it is for real.

They dare to say it is a newer exynos chip while they gave 90mhz for one type of its cores. Whatever of its architecture has been changed, it gave basically barely any speed increase.

Exynos is inferior to snapdragon in almost any aspect for 1.5 years now, and it does not seem to catch up considerably. They are most likely disregarding it or may have been having certain issues with its structure, but now it involves camera processing more as well.

Would be better off just giving snapdragon chipset equipped phones internationally rather than giving consistently inferior products at flagship level by whim(?) outside of the US(and a few others) market. Why do they even advertise these CPU-s as something incredibly different?
Why do they price exynos phones as though they would be the same?

Change their prices accordingly, or really improve it; or if they don't want and/or can't, then leave it.

They do in-depth hardware tests compared to GSMArena. This site based on its tests were mostly have in-depth reviews on the camera side of things so I give credit to GSMArena for that.

You guys should have tested heat dissipation, throttling and energy consumption, since a die shrink like the E9825 is made for those 3 problems and not necessarily for higher performance.

"Also note that the benchmark was run in the Performance mode, although unlike the Huawei performance mode this doesn't give you any boosts that you don't get in everyday use"
Can anyone explain this to me. Which one gives you boost in everyday use huawei or samsung?
