Anonymous, 22 Aug 2019Lol, MTK? No thanksGo worship Snapdragon somewhere else.. Mediatek needs to exist in order to give Qualcomm a competition or else Qualcomm Snapdragon will sit on their asses and become lazy without any innovation because there is not a single competition. Every company needs a competitor so that they can improve further and make better products that will suit the consumers as soon as possible

Hemedans, 22 Aug 2019As a Nokia fan I can tell you there was always trouble with... moreNow this is something I can believe.. however, I don't know Mediatek is so stubborn to release source codes when other chip manufacturers that are greater than them are doing so.. let's be honest, Snapdragon processors are better than Mediatek but still, Mediatek seems to be catching up and will soon surpass them..

But i suggest you might wanna search bout that to find out if its true.

Marco M, 22 Aug 2019Redmi K20 Pro / Mi 9T Pro is the new Poco essentially.Dang it. *sigh* hopefully the Redmi K30/K30 Pro will have a MicroSD card slot. :'(

IpsDisplay, 21 Aug 2019Lol that's a niche need The masses don't care about this... moreWelp this isn't phone that really focused at game tho, it's a general, all rounder budget friendly phone.

The only thing that i like about Mediatek SoC is their Clear Motion technology, it's (the only) 60fps video interpolator that available on Android. I wonder when Qualcomm will have the same tech on their SoC.

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2019Ofc worse you should compare it to kirin 810Well it looks like (through preliminary benchmarks at least ) that the G90T scores a bit higher on Antutu than the Kirin 980 so it might be a good processor that closes that gap between flagship Kirin and Snapdragon:

They make tests to see how much G90T in 12nm consumes compare to 7nm (they didn't say which one, but it's 855...it's the only 7nm soc they use), the answer was 10%...(of course 855 is more powerfull)

                            As Mi9T Pro/Redmi K20 Pro uses a 4000mAh, Xiaomi put a 4500mAh (+12.5%) battery on Redmi Note 8

Marco M, 22 Aug 2019Redmi K20 Pro / Mi 9T Pro is the new Poco essentially.Well, Xiaomi is really dragging their feet in rebranding the K20 Pro as the Pocophone F2 (or Poco F2 Plus/Pro since the K20 could be rebranded as Pocophone F2), since the F1 was released in August, which was a year ago. What I'm theorizing is the Poco F2 is still in the works and will be released (eventually?) this year, or Xiaomi will announce the rebranding in the next month. It's just weird that the K20/K20 Pro was already released in India, which was one of the target markets for the Poco F1 last year. Still, I'm disappointed that the K20/K20 Pro doesn't have a Micro-SD slot, so I'll still have to choose whether to get the Poco F1 or the K20 Pro depending on my budget. I'm still crossing my fingers that Xiaomi plans to release a new phone hopefully with a Hybrid Sim Slot which will accept a MicroSD, higher battery and glass protection as the new Poco F2.
