Redmi Note 8 series will pack a Helio G90T chipset

      Your claim makes it xiaomi's fault for not giving updates, but there are plenty of phones that came with both chips and their owners would love to tell you otherwise.

      Also, it's not entirely the phone manufacturer's fault. I've read somewhere that for a phone to get upgrades, the manufacturer has to pay extra to get source codes unlocked. So it's kind of MTK's fault

                            The massive Xiaomi Mi Max 2 with a whopping 6.44" display and 5300 mAh battery lasted for 19:21h in web browsing.

                            But both ran SD625 and not a MTK chipset, so . . .

                            Redmi Note 4 MTK-version was horrible with regards to battery life. The SD-version was the one to go for. MTK-version had deep sleep issues, and also ran very hot during load.

                                Mediatek and honor r thinking they r ahead in midrange soc competition with g90t and kirin 810 respectively ....but they r newly launched chips and qualcomm is also shifting their gears with sd735....just wait for that and we will see who's ahead.......
