Android Q to be called Android 10 as Google abandons dessert-based names

          Nougat had nice game with cats.

          Oreo was buggy and laggy from my brief experience with S8.

          Pie is so far one of the best IMO. Possibly on par with JellyBean. I just kidna like the way JB looks, or I'm just nostalgic...

                They changed it to android 10 since they cant think of a dessert that start's with letter Q.

                        Jelly Bean was your favorite? That's surprising. I couldn't stand JB although it did give us Project Butter? My favorite is the current one now.. Android 9 / Pie. My second favorite is Android 7 / Nougat. I never really cared for Oreo. Nougat is better with battery life than Marshmallow and Oreo.

                        I plan to rotate between FOUR smartphones...

                        Google Pixel 3 (Pie)
                        Essential Phone (Pie)
                        HTC 10 (Nougat)
                        LG G5 (Nougat)

                        I don't like the number 8 anyway but 7 and 9 are cool. I think Android 10 will be released in early September. They need to polish up those gestures because it could get very divisive.

                          So no Quiche? Ok. I think it's the right move because Android Z will only get to Android 19.

                          I plan to stick to Pie forever and ever. The last to have a dessert name and perhaps an Easter egg. I love the letter P anyway since my first name starts with it.

                          I think Android 7 (Nougat) should be bare minimum moving forward. It's like people who still use Windows 7 or XP over a decade later.

                          Not a fan of the logo change but it's like whatever. Will get used to it.

                            Why are you peopole so upset? I dont see any problem with this, it is just a name. Anyways 90 %of the average
                            android users dont even know what versions thay have on their phones. Android is becoming apple, apple with the new ios versions specialy ipad os is resembling android in some features and there is nothing wrong about that.

                                1. Dessert names were attractive. Sad to see them go away.
                                2. What happens to the garden outside google where all the desert statues are kept?
                                3. The font chosen should be the fonts of the whole android system. Now android is using Google Sans for headlines and roboto for content. This should be streamlined.

                                      IMO the dessert names were pleasantly geeky, 10 is just meh.

                                        I'm fit and into healthy lifestyle... but I just LOVE to indugle in sweets and desserts from time to time and I find this sad for some reason. Same as the new logo and robot...

                                        I still have a working Samsung phone running on 4.4. JellyBean. JellyBean is honestly my favourite Android version...
