and btw i own Mate 9 with Kirin 960 , and i have an idea about what i'm saying , cuz after few mins of playing , it turns into hell with Throttling , lagging and fps drops , Huawei applies heavy power saving and thermal control that they immediately low the performance of the mobile to low levels just to make it functioning , and that annoys damn too much , specially with an old soc like Kirin 960 , and it's there even in kirin 980 , check the article like i've said , regards

      2 x 2.73 GHz Mongoose M4
      2 x 2.4 GHz Cortex-A75
      --------------------------------------------
      4 x 1.9 GHz Cortex-A55

      Exynos have 2 custom Mongoose high cores and two Cortex A 75 cores. That is two years old tech from 2017. What a shame. Last years Kirin 980 had 4 Cortex A 76 cores. Also now Kirin 990 have the latest Cortex A77 high frequency cores. I will repeat again to you and anybody else: Exynos are the worst CPU's of them all. Apple A series, Qualcomm 800 series and Kirin 900 series are better in every aspect. Enjoy your day bye.

          Anonymous, 24 Aug 2019You clearly dont have a single clue what you are talking ab... moreYeah, Apple USED TO BE known for power hungry and throttle-prone CPU, Samsung is slowly MAKING A PROGRESS, but I'm talking about the CURRENT SITUATION of Samsung, Qualcomm, Apple and Huawei CPUs. What I said about Samsung right now messing up the CPU design and their chips performing worse than its rivals is true - obviously they will get better and better over time at designing their custom cores, but as for now they kinda suck.
          I haven't claimed anything about myself but if you want to keep insulting me like that then please go ahead. Though in that case simply I wouldn't be bothered to talk to you at all.

            You're comparing Samsung mid tier cores the a75 to Huaweis upcoming high end cores.
            The a75 cores are the mid ones for Samsung. Their m4 cores are the high end ones that directly compare the a76 cores in others or upcoming a77.

I am comparing high frequency Cortex A 75 which is a Samsung biggest mistake. Their engineers are lazy. Instead of using new tech they used two years old architecture in their SOC. Exynos is the worst chipset. Search in YouTube and you will find thousands of different problems from users all around the world. You will see in just 10 days that Kirin 990 with A77 and Mali G77 GPU will put your Exynos to shame. Have a nice day.:)

Because you knew that was the only way you could manipulate the situation to fit your claim.

                          First off. Apple clearly had issues with hungry cpu cores and throttling before getting more experince with bigger cores and the help of better die shrinks.

                          Second Samsung has made what has basically been the best cpus android has for most generations of the exynos. Its the last two years they are learning how to make large cpu cores. And how to balance power, efficiency, and thermal limits. They probably could have done a little better, but progress has been made.

                          Not to mention even though the 9820 is 8nm vs 7nm its physically way larger. Like around 40% larger. Anandtech actually said it was bigger than their 10nm SoC.
                          And if you compare the battery life of the s10plus with 4100mah and the note 10 plus with 4300mah...91 vs 107hrs....you can see that moving to 7nm made a huge difference. And it does much better in speed tests.

                          Why is it that these pages and pages everywhere are filled with self proclaimed elitists like you?

                                what's the use of a powerful soc when the mobile works it's best to throttle it after like 5 minutes of using? check mate 20 and p30's thermal throttling , only after few mins performance drops to 60% .. i started to hate kirins .

A12 is still killing it with both CPU and GPU performance, but Exynos 9820's custom Mongoose CPU cores, which are based on Cortex-A75, are not only slower but also less efficient compared to the stock A76 and Qualcomm's Kyro 485 cores.

                                        Anonymous, 24 Aug 2019A chip YES, Mongoose NO.Technically, Apple's A chips are still licensed from ARM, but they've paid much higher prices compared to others, which allowed them to do more modifications to their designs as compared to what others could do with the same design layout.
                                        The impressive part here is that their modification to an older design is still better than others' modification to the newer and more powerful layouts.
