That's a totally wrong interpretation, gsmarena. Your poll didn't ask for the second most-used camera. Most of the people that chose the main camera would likely use the tele camera as the second choice because the main camera is already a wide-angle camera.

    Most of people don't have 5x+optical zoom. And here's your answer. Also next time ask about camera usage besides main camera, could get more accurate percentages.

        It was one of the best phones for its time: sharp big screen, fast processor, decent battery life and one of the most complete camera experiences back then. The camera app had more pro options than most other flagships.
        G5 was okay but then everything started tumbling down.

        As for lenses, wide angle has more everyday usage than a zoom lens, LG was aware of that while folks at Apple decided that zoom is more important. I'd love to see the data about camera usage on apple phones to see how much of that was true. And that's why they'll be adding a wide angle now, a few years too late but still a wise move

              Most people need 3x-5x zoom and a high quality sensor might do a decent work with zooming while ultra wide angle can only be done with another sensor

                LG has still one of the best cameras in military standards durable package. If Sony does not fix its lacklustre battery in Xperia 2 I night switch lol

                  My usage is roughly:
                  33% - (x0.6) Ultrawide - fits more in frame
                  47% - (x1.0) Regular - usually highest quality
                  5% - (x1.1) Black-White - good for effects
                  1% - (x2.0) Telephoto - maybe bokeh
                  3% - (x5.0) Zoom - poor quality
                  10% - (x10) Macro - limited use cases

                  ...software can solve most challenges but the results are always a mixed bag.
                  That's why a Mirrorless/DSLR is still the proper tool for actual zoom photography. And throwing multiple cameras isn't a viable solution. Perhaps, the solution is to use a single good sensor, and have interchangeable lenses which you have to carry... I know it sucks, but these companies now expect you to also carry a Bluetooth earphone and external PowerBanks.

                    Lg failed once they strated to fall back in camera quality and other specs from main competitors since LG G3-4 days, no wonder no one cares about LG anymore, the phones are just not good enough to compete

                      Technically it is easier to make a ultrawide camera than a telephoto camera. That's why the race to build the most zoomable camera for mobile phones.

                        I think we will see different results in future when apple and samsung starts to support 5x zoom.

                          To all those ultra widies go and buy a GoPro since we can't have a small telephoto lens camera(slr or DSLR) in the size of a action camera .

                            Never understood why these phone manufacturers thought telephoto would be a great idea instead of ultra wide angle.

                                Ultrawide has more uses as it fits more into the picture
                                Telephoto is just a cool feature that doesn't always gets used
