Aryan Rai, 26 Aug 2019No actually it is very slightly superior to sd730, don't go... moreThe main problem with a 12nm manufacturing process is that heat build up will be higher and considering its a gaming handset it will be used to pretty long duration which could lead to throttling. Will need to see how the sustained gaming session are of the new phones.
I am happy though that Mediatek has come back to the competitive higher midrange segment as Qualcomm had an almost monopoly aside from Huawei's home grown Kirin chipsets and Samsung home grown Exynos chipsets

SD665 in redmi note 8 is a slightly more power efficient SD660 with weaker GPU,
SD675 is a step up from SD660 in everyway
and The Mediatek G90T is closer to SD730 in performance.

If 665 weaker GPU than 660 true, looks like not many reasons to buy over current RN7, unless starts with same or lower price. Camera will be similar as well. Better wait few months for RN9 :) (if not buy other)
The question is if they gonna sell Pro in Europe/global this time or keep selling just Mi and possibly A3 Pro.

SD 665?? I guess Realme turns out to be a better option now.
SD665 has a weaker GPU than SD660, and if paired with a FullHD display, this will be a disaster for gaming. Redmi Note 8 is an "uncle-aunty-granny" phone in that case.

BrendonF, 26 Aug 2019To be fair the Poco F1 had a flagship chipset and a far bet... moreNo actually it is very slightly superior to sd730, don't go on the 12nm superconductor size,the cores are powerful and the performance (especially gaming) has surpassed 730 but yes its not a match for adreno 630 so sd845 has much superior gaming

The Note 8 pro has a good chipset to be fair but its competing with the SD712 of the world not the SD845.
