Sony Xperia 1 gets disappointing DxOMark score for both front and back cameras

Sony has never had the best camera software to back up their otherwise excellent sensors. I wouldn't say the Xperia 1's camera system excels at photography but it's definitely a step in the right direction for Sony

ok, for those who still believe in the crappy Zer0 Mark.. check my flickr account i've uploaded some shots that were taken with my XZ3, and Xperia 1's camera is far better than it's predecessor... So sony haters stop whining!

[deleted post]Unfortunately you're right. Sony make great things like TVs, audio equipment, cameras etc but their smartphone department always was and still is nearly complete disaster. Can't understand why Sony still makes the phones...

So Xperia 1 matches Nokia 808 in flash department. HEH. Can't be bad thing, can it?
DXOMark is garbage. One of most powerful xenon flashes ever put on smartphone got 50 something.

No doubt Sony camera phones take horrible pictures but honestly I loat my trust in DXOMARK rating I've bought the galaxy note 10 plus and the camera is bad really bad has lots of noise even during day bad colors. Night mode doesn't help bad quality . In comparison of p30 pro it should get 10 points less

Put idiots to tell the truth and pay them to be the only to have the last word and here goes the tragedy! The ONLY WAY to see the truth is to learn and test it for yourself. I touched its camera simply have no comparison for textures compared to S9+ and S10 plus, color accuracy and manual modes in daylight and low light. Please see it for yourself and let these 'Michael Jackson Neverland' lies apart! These guys are paid to fool! Test it for your own self! Cheers!

Comparison against the S10+ shows it's remarkably on par with it, with perhaps the dynamic range being the only winning situation for the Galaxy, whereas the Xperia bites back with better color accuracy and level of detail.

Though DxO is right about sony lagging behind, colors on shots from xperia are the most realistic ones. So much for dxo numbers. The same with mirrorless, sony's color output is just one gen better thx to their hw.
Sadly there is no alternative, there is only sigma in mirrorless world and that is only if you use low iso and you got no other lens.
