Thos epeople would like to have a nice 5G phone.

So now a 2000 bucks with no 5G phone with no SD support no jack no quickcharge or dash charge no USB-C and only LCD screen with bad reliability.
Also no support for windows and without bloatware like Itunes the whole phone will not cooperate at all.
Oh well.

- has been accepted as standard in the rest of the industry so they don't have to special order more expensive customized production runs,
- long-touch accomplishes the same thing, just a little slower (time interval triggering the action instead of a pressure level)
It's unfortunate due to C.

I think people are vexed about that word "innovation" not because Apple invented something or not, but because how liberally they use the term.
Sure, they did invent stuff. iOS is invented by them. As were some devices in the past. That W1 chip inside airpods? Sure.
They also bring in some obscure technology and make it go main stream (Face ID and 3D touch anyone?) However THAT IS NOT THE SAME THING AS INNOVATION.
Mostly their history is about waiting for a tech to get matured and then implement it as perfectly as they can so users go wow over it.
I think that's where people's derision for apple about using that word comes in. They innovate less and rely more on mistranslation of 'unique' to 'Innovation'.

- Notch: 18:9 display with ears extending around an ~35mm x 5mm notch vs. Elephant: orders of magnitude larger.

how do you honestly think it works, Apple just rang up LG and bought the screens for the iPhone 4? No of course not, LG didn't have any screens like it. They didn't make 4inch screens with that resolution, colour accuracy etc. LG made them on Apple's request. Just like Samsung are doing now with iPhone X screens. These aren't screens Samsung just happen to have sitting out the back, the are making them specifically for Apple

Is the iPhone X screen a screen that Samsung would produce if Apple didn't tell them to? They are different to screens used in Samsung devices, the iphone ones are built to Apple spec. You really don't get it. You can innovate without being the company actually manufacturing the parts. Look at the breakthrough retina screens on iPhone 4. These were manufactured by LG. LG didn't use these screens themselves, Apple designed and specced them and asked LG to manufacturer them for them

How then can you say what people care about and dont care about? 5G is a game changer. It will resolve some congestion issues which affect throughput. Also it is said to lower cost per bit, so yes, technically it can lower your bill.
But dont look at 5G in terms of service in US or wherever you are based. You need o see the bigger picture here. Cheers.

We can't even reach 4G limits yet and the speeds are already very fast. Let's get back to this subject when using 5G doesn't cost any extra, because there's no point to pay for it. These carrier always try to sell faster connections for us users. I have said them many times that i don't care speed increase, i only care if you guys can lower the price of my bill, don't try to offer me speed i don't need, and 5G is exactly that.

Apple iPhone sales are falling
This is 2019 when Apple are releasing another 4G phone in fledgling 5G market
Every single 5G handset connected to a 5G network will blow awa any and every iPhone in regards to internet speeds
Those who read the gsmarena article will know that the Apple Qualcomm court case was called off simply because it wouldn't have been completed in order to keep their 5G iPhone September 2020 date on track
Even if the Qualcomm / Apple court case proceeded and Apple used Intel 5G modems there would be minimal cost savings for Apple as Intel would be paying Qualcomm and other 5G patents holders royalties
There are some who have held iPhones for a long time so upgrading to the iPhone 11 will nit matter
2019 is a minor upgrade cycle, so do those who want 5G wait until 2020 or not, a purchase now for another 4G iPhone means 2021 if on a contract
Apple has purchased Intels modem division for $1 Billion as in say 2022 this will lower costs significantly to what it pays Qualcomm
In short will putting out another 4G handset hurt Apple, Virtually all Android have released a 5G version i.e their flagship 4G phone with a 5G modem, why? 4G handsets cannot be upgraded to 5G
The premium us for faster internet, so if there is no new technology until 2022 say, I'll upgrade my phone then
