Is it you Pro, 02 Sep 2019My Z2 was crashed by my car doors, this is the fourth time ... moreSad to hear that. I do agree Z2 got great bassy & crispy sound output, one of the thing i miss from Sony. I even use the Xperia 1 Music apps on my Mate 20 (stock Huawei player sucks) & Dolby Atmos working good with it, so its a win-win situation for me. What is your new china device? Is it Xiaomi?

The one can rescue is the microsd card, I have set the camera storage path to microSD card the photos and songs can simply get out from the phone and rescued. Unfortunately there are some photos save in the internals, because not enough space on my 16GB memory card.
    Now I am using a China brand, I found the 3.5mm audio quality is very poor compared to my Z2 with same earphone, but the LDAC code (start on Android Oreo) does help on wireless audio output, the sound is very solid where the volume is around 50~60%, but don't get me wrong the Z2 wireless audio still nice for music listening it has more complete experience.

      I experience both Sony & Huawei phones, knows exactly the differences, each their ups & downs. Base on that experience, Huawei gave me much more pros than Sony does at the moment, everytime. U still dont get it.

You don't need to criticize them to follow Sony... And yes the same, Sony ditch 3.5mm on flagship then Samsung Huawei new flagship follow the trend, you don't need criticize them...They design the notch/punch hole you don't need to criticize them... Yet Sony get all the criticize and those get the praise, they all follow Sony steps and get all the credits.

              I don't agree with you flooding phones in the market is a good way although it gain the market share and popularity. You have more choices too but they missing to bring a notch-less screen into the market. The notch trends making you can only choose the notch/punch hole and live with it. I have use a phone with a notch right now, always hide the notch but sometimes it show up without noticed and every time unlocking into the home page the notch just expose awhile just like "hide and seek", looks like it has a software running at the foreground, when typing in night the notch will ruin the view experience so I hide it all the time and it become a "slim bezel" . Although It is not a big deal but I still prefer a display without notch or punch hole, the experience would be better!

Sure they're not perfect, nobody is but both companies smartphone business is a story of success. From year to year they bring real innovations, high-end smartphones becoming better and better in all aspects. Certainly they're moving forward. Unfortunately I can't say the same about Sony. And quite poor smartphones sales along with very limited models number are the proof of my words.

I believe that Sony just don't pay much attention to their smartphone department. It seems that all innovations in this field are mostly coming from Chinese manufacturers now. Samsung and LG are trying to surprise and bring something new as well.
                        As for Xperia 1, a highly praised by someone eye-tracking focus "innovation" looks a bit inferior, limited and not much useful compared to Google Pixel 3 object tracking focus feature. This is just one example came to my mind straight away.
                        And I'm not consider myself a Sony hater or biased somehow to this company. Quite opposite, I wish them all the best and really hope that they will work harder and finally start making great smartphones like others do.

                                21:9 for TVs and Monitors but in a smartphone?! It's not for everyone. I'd rather have the same amount of bezels and a shorter phone (18:9) that can fit perfectly in my pocket. I'm not yet convinced that 21:9 is the future for smartphone's aspect ratio. Maybe it will grow on me if there will be a compact version.
