Same goes to its Xperia 1 Ultra Wide camera, despite lower res than others, the quality is very good.

Just wondering whether the Sony Xperia 2 will use ...Samsung sensors for ultra wide and telephoto cameras again. I laughed when I found this information about Xperia 1. It must be embarrassing at least!

Basically Sony behaves the same way as Google - "we make smartphones because we can and because the other guys do. So we don't really care whoever like our phones or not and what are the sales will be. We are Sony. Love us just for this. We earned it".

sony fans are the most violent (at least when responding) here on gsma. i once was a sony fan myself with almost all their products, now i am reduced to exhulting their prowess with audio/music techs/gadgets because in this regard they bring to the mass' table those things that are otherwise reserved to the high-end audio techs/gadgets. over the years it has been proven that sony is this stubborn oem that will stick to its pride rather than conforming to what really sells. sony's flopped products (betamax, minidiscs, video 8, umd, memory stick, jumbotron, vaio handheld pcs, 3dtv, smartwatch series, e-ink readers, dat, etc) far overshadow their successful ones. one can argue that some of these flopped products were actually better than the ones that became standards, but then again it all boils down to whatever sells. ultimately selling what sells good will keep the company alive. forgive me if i said sony is stubborn, rather they have this japanese pride ingrained to them, which is known to be steadfast in that they rather would seppuku or hara kiri than be defeated. this simply is a dog eat dog world, and to survive you have to follow the trend. as we say here in the philippines- "pride is like a panty, if you don't remove it nothing will happen."

What its got to do with Huawei? The last rumors i heard about it are 27w wireless charging, two big camera sensor, Cine-Lens feature, 4500mah battery, hand motion gesture features.

But how do you explain giants like Samsung making fun of Apple and then removing same stuff they earlier mocked them about (the jack)? How do you explain even the 1 grand flagships having similar camera placement as that of iphones?
Apple also has its cons.
My SG M20 also has a similar design, but it's a great phone for it's price and I don't expect a completely unique design from a 150 bang for the buck phone, but I do from a one grand phone.
And I disagree with the Ericsson part. The design, camera and audio were all signature Sony features. Ericsson phones were quite different.
What Sony lacks is market awareness. They think they can still sell Xperia brand but they need to be competitive and seriously reconsider the prices. Or else they'll follow the same route as their laptop division.

You almost don't know every phone maker must bring some new technology as usual including Sony. Besides I am not bragging which technology will bring up but we can wait for the announcement, don't simple express your negative mindset as you always but exempt your beloved Huawei.

Upper bezel is just 6.
Notch would ruin the 21:9.
