No 3.5mm jack, no buy. Can't they at least opt for a 2.5mm jack alongside a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter? Let me know when Sony releases an Xperia with the same camera as Huawei because Sony's own flagship sensors suck and the sensors they created for them are better.

Sony failed once again. I will never buy a Sony phone that has less than 4000 mah battery. I don't care how well they optimise the OS/ Software. At the end of the day at this day and age that small battery is unacceptable especially for a phone that has 4k or 5k capable screen. Yes it runs at 1080p most times but you have put a high resolution screen so a big battery is a must. I will stick to my Mate 20 Pro and if the Pixel 4 XL delivers whats promised then I will be jumping ships. For now the Mate 20 Pro is perfect and my brother has the P30 Pro which is insanely good in battery life, camera and performance.
Sony no need to pump out phones every 6 months if you can't get the basics right. Learn from your stupid mistakes and make a phone that delivers

My experience with older Xperia (XA Ultra) is quite user-friendly because everything done by touch more than swipe, I don't like all the setting adjustments (ISO Exposure) done by swipes because it use much time on turning the indicator all around, yes it looks fancy but never be the good one for quick used! The EV and White balance is easy done by swipe is more practical I have no complaints.

I wonder why Sony hasn't incorporated a 960fps super slow motion video recording option on their smartphones, when ALL other smartphones in the world already have it 5 years ago!
I also wanna know why they still haven't gotten a 4K HDR 21:9 display when ALL other phones have pretty much made it a standard, and is ready to go 5K soon!
I wonder.....

Just another evil company...
Sony wants to sell usb type-c headphones or converter.
It trying everything to suck consumers money.
And they have always same stupid excuise...
We gain alot of space like jupiter's mass we put some extra battery there so you can enjoy a few extra miliseconds with your phone.
But they dont understand...
No body gives any f..k...
It is not ancient technology, people still f..ng need it.
If it is so, then remove the battery, which is much older than 3.5mm jack.
So...
We all know what you did last summer Sony boy.

Should either:
1. Fire their entire design and R&D team and hire a better and more competitive one because they're pretty much years behind major brands, even Apple which most Android users mock; or
2. Exit the smartphone business entirely and stick to making DSLRs, cameras, TVs and other home appliances.
The problem with Sony is they only listen to their loyal fans and not their critics. Listening only to your loyal fans who'll praise you even if you do produce crap is pretty much a guaranteed way to failure. Blind loyalty is s-t-u-p-i-d-i-t-y. Critics, although hurtful, at least tell you what you should improve upon.

They're doing quite well in smartphone business compared to Sony. Xperia 2 looks more attractive to me than Xperia 1. I just want wireless charging back, properly functional fingerprint sensor, 3D face recognition would be great too. But if they put Samsung cameras and screen again I won't buy it by principle. I'd rather get S10 which will be a way cheaper by Xperia 2 release.

The fact that Sony pioneered OLED TVs for LG's success, and making LG's own OLED panels look better on Sony Bravia TVs is a major victory for them to begin with.
Then there's the microLED race, at which Sony was first to showcase such a demo about it, meaning they've been developing this technology for much longer and at a faster rate compared to Samsung and LG, hence why they were able to showcase a more polished product.
Samsung's The Wall is nothing to Sony's theatre CLEDIS™ screen.

its been almost a year (october) and my sot has increased to almost 8 hrs from 7 hrs with 20 hrs standby.. This is what sony software updates do.. it upgrades hardware too

I actually like some bezels over notches and think a side FPS is convenient and usable with screen protectors. I also am not fan of the rounded screen corners that eat into screen space and prefer Sony's 90 degree implementation. Either way, 3 and 2, and 2 and 3 both make 5. Ultimately, Sony can do better.
