Sameer , 31 Aug 20191st of all I want to say that "Shame On You Sony and Shame ... moreWell.... They do not listen to costumers because they know ppl that read tech sites will demand stuff without knowing it is possible or worth it.

Notch is ugly and ruins the screen experience.
Hole is ugly and ruins the screen experience.
Pop up/slider wont keep water/dust out.
45W charging will kill battery sooner. (20 is enough to charge fast and keep battery well)
4mm bezel cannot fit the front speaker , usb takes the space.
Qi charging helps to damage battery. It is slower and higher temperature.

People want 4000 mAh, but do not want more than 150g.
People want 3mm bezel, but want same old front speaker.
People want 50W charging, but then complain if they need to buy new battery within 12 months.
People want oled, but dont want to see burn in .. (which is impossible).
People want the best, but dont want to pay more than $500 (which is impossible).

Fun part is that after 24 months a Xperia with 3300mAh will still have more than 3100mAh, while other brands that come with 4000 wont have more than 2800.

Mike, 31 Aug 2019Still the best fit and finish build quality in Android phon... moreIn my experience sony phones from z2 to xz after 1 year the battery life is almost 30% less.and because of that the performance sufferes also.
But mate 9 still rocks like new, after two years the battery life is almost the same compared to my wife's p20 pro.
Sony makes good phones but they are not on paar with the competition anymore in my opinion.

Still the most GG coating thickness
Still the best screens on the market
Still among the fastest phones on the market
Still the best performance degradation on the market. Don't believe me try using XZ Premium and Samsung Note 8/Huawei Mate 9 Pro for a week and see how they compare in performance and battery life

Sony are making sure this time that no one buys it

1st of all I want to say that "Shame On You Sony and Shame on Your Developers" What's new in Sony Xperia 2.???
                  Still 6Gb Ram
                  Still 128Gb internal storage.
                  Still Less Battery.
Sony never want to listen it's Customers suggestions that's why they are fail in marketing.
                  Go To Hell Sony 😏

Sony, please make another compact phone! This looks like the Xperia 1 with a triple camera. No wonder Sony is failing like HTC and LG are doing.

I the... moreFunny, I think exactly the opposite; I think they are very behind the competition in hardware (bezels, no in-screen fingerprint scanners, mediocre camera setups, when most midrangers now feature these things) but their software is refreshingly stock, miles away from the sea of poorly designed Chinese iOS knockoffs based on Android.

Anything beyound FH is just gimick and matter of money having 4 or even 8K on a 6 inch screen is like having a laser sight on a slinger or buying a diet water instead of regular one because regular one had too much calories.

I am a Sony fan. But I have given up on their phones. I their design aesthetics - no notches, side fingerprint scanner etc, but the overall package and pricing is disappointing. After using Sony products all my life and Sony Ericsson ever since the beginning and end of the partnership, I made the decision to invest in an XZ2 Compact. Great hardware aesthetics. But poor software and camera. Wasn't worth the money. Returned it in less than a week. Wish they invested in software.

Anonymous, 31 Aug 2019I have a hard time understanding who even buys Sony anymore... moreLmao you must be under 20 if you think Samsung and LG makes better TVs than Sony, Panasonic, and Sharp.

If they put bigger batteries in their phones so that one could get twelve hours usage on a busy day, with a bit left for music on the way home, then I would gladly return to Sony. Alas they don't want people to buy their phones at all, even though the screens are brilliant and the phone are generally good.

                                No jack.

GrandMaster, 31 Aug 2019Agreed. Bigger battery is a must! At least 4000mah. Even bu... moreI have use a big battery this time, my experience was when reach the night the battery has 40+ balance, I don't know need to charge overnight or not, that's why I bring the 40+ balance of the battery to next day and bring the power bank with me. Sometimes I can use for 3~4days with data always on because the android 9 efficiency is great and this should be same with all the android 9 and above, but the phone is heavier than my previous one, finger stretch all the time and easy get oily on the surface most of the time unlike my Z2.
