So far only the Mi Mix 4 was rumored to employ the mammoth sensor, but the Chinese company is really going all in.

Samsung has been an underdog in a camera sensor industry for years but it's quickly changing, and that's definitely a good thing for both the industry and end consumer. Just like Intel stopped acting like a lazy cow after AMD came up with brand new Zen series APU.

            More than 80% of smartphones today are using Sony IMX sensors, and they all take great images, at least in daylight.
            Most expensive full-frame cameras also commonly use Sony sensors, as they offer the best possible image quality in the modern era.
            And if nobody believes that Sony sensors aren't anything compelling, they better explain why Nikon, Canon, and others felt the need to upgrade their mirrorless game when Sony came out with the great Alpha A series.

                Doenst matter. Those small lenses cant resolve so much resolution anyway.

                  It'll be interesting to see what happens when industry finally moves on from years old Sony sensors...

Samsung not using their own tech is not a justification that the sensor is bad. It's also Samsung that advertises the HMX as 108MP even though it is only 27MP native based on Bayer filter arrangement, 108MP can only be achieved by rearranging the the image color matrix.

I consider myself a fan of Huawei and I admit Samsung stop tops Huawei in many areas.

                                Now change Samsung to Apple and it all becomes hate. I just hate how they pretend to be better than everyone else even though all they've going for them is IOS.
