Nokia 800 Tough and 2720 Flip put KaiOS in a rugged and a clamshell body respectively

Those two phones are expensive considering its featured phones including kaios. 100 euro. If KaiOS wants to make a difference 100 euro mark is a no go. For 100 euro u are already buying Android doesnt matter if its one or a regular version. But even if that doesnt make any sense u can still buy descent used android for 100 euros. So KaiOS is a failure in my opinion.

Tough looks great actually except for that protrusion at the bottom for lanyard. Spoils it a lot. You can do lanyard without including that piece

If the Nokia's symbians most popular fones back then could give up on most 3rd party apps like whatsapp but now come back with the Kaios,, thus a very sweet deed.. however we're looking forward to seeing the BlackBerry doing the same coz there are QWERTY fans who are really dying for Nokia qwerty and blackberry qwerty fones..

Why cant Nokia go after the most ignored section of the society, the oldies...A slightly bigger phone than this 'Tough', with BIG round buttons, loud speaker, and a good grip, and 'moderately tough' for oldies mis-handling. I have found none that match these basic things for my father for a reasonable price for ~ 40-50 euros.

Can I use them as a music player if SIM is not inserted..I have a old Nokia phone that refuses to even start the calculator/Radio/Snake without the SIM card

Many our customers jus... moreYes. Until they'd start using them. Hopefully HMD has learned something along the way but the 8810 4G was an utter disaster to me. Slow UI, weird navigation, cheap keypad, battery life only decent with inactive data connection. As a backup phone for outdoor trips, it may serve its purpose - turn it on twice daily to check missed calls, SMS, and e-mail without worrying about the expensive smartphone getting hurt in the rucksack.
But who knows, maybe these new ones will be more polished.

GPS+Whatsapp+rugged this is almost perfect for me. Hope it could connect to google contacts, then I might return to Nokia land.
