Samsung did the best with the Note 10 by using the latest USB-PD spec

"In comparison the previous best by Xiaomi - Mi 9, which went to 20W - only charged 30% of its 3,300mAh battery in 30 minutes in our test."

The Mi9 tops at 27W charging?

Whackcar, 09 Sep 2019Now OnePlus has no excuse for not putting wireless charging... moreThey have always pointed out that it also isn't efficient enough. Seeing how Xiaomi's claims turn out to be, wait till real life tests are done. This thing might either heat up to dangerous levels or throttle enough to render "30 watt" charging useless.

Even though it is nice thing to see the power of wireless charging improving as it could reduce charging time in wireless mode, it should NOT be a priority...

The main priority should be to develop a at distance (small distance of up to 2 feet) wireless charging in order to be able to lay down a smartphone on a bedside table / desk without worrying about alignment...

I wish soooo much that the A4WP / Rezence wireless charging standard to be mainstream for that reason instead of Qi wireless charging...

Meanwhile Samsung mainline S series is stuck at 2004 15W speeds lmao

Now OnePlus has no excuse for not putting wireless charging on their phones. They always gave the silly excuse that wireless charging isn't fast enough, that's why they're not putting it on their phones. Now as shown by Xiaomi & Huawei, wireless charging has gotten really fast, so OnePlus better deliver.
