My old Oppo Find 7 had super-resolution so you can't say that Samsung is copying Apple. (The feature was also good for warming your hands on a cold day) From what I've seen of AI-enhanced noise reduction, I can't say I'd always want it on. The photos aren't very faithful and they have areas that are just weird.

This was introduced first by Google in Pixel 2, they have a dedicated chip for processing the photos with AI tech — Pixel Visual Core.
Now suddenly it's already Samsung "copying" Apple.

The one who use monochrome to enhance lowlight was huawei since p9 series.

Meizu Pro 7 takes the color information from the main RGB sensor and fuses it with the higher quality luminance information acquired from the monochrome sensor to improve the SNR in low light. iPhone 11 Pro's Deep Fusion takes several images using a the main sensor at different exposures and stack them together in a way that each pixel has full R, G and B color information hence there won't be any need for demosaicing and the higher resolution image can be produced. They are not even close in terms of the technologies behind the features.

RDF is still hard at work in the gadget blogosphere... Apple copies something, calls it something different and viola, now everybody copies Apple.

Read this and the example is similar to what apple is doing right now. Not the earliest smartphone to feature it, but amongst the best during that year(2017?) besides pixel.

Deep fusion is a mere catchy term to fool the sheeps. Just like liquid retina, retina display.

J o m s, 12 Sep 2019Did it occur to you that you can use the feature during day... moreIt's basically a pixel shift HDR, so it's primarily there to improve the image quality when there's an ample light around the subject. In fact for low light scenes there's another mode called Night Mode.

"So Apple's Deepsh1t Fusion is just a marketing name for its retrded fans LOL"
I mean, if it does HDR and pixel shift image stacking at the same time while also introducing no shutter lag and dealing with artifacts very well, I think this feature deserves a proper name. No phones or cameras can do so many things at once.

Deep Fusion is just a glorified image stacking and some fake enhancements to improve the image.

Image stacking, exposure stacking, ISO stacking, pixel shifting all produce the same goal. So Apple's Deepsh1t Fusion is just a marketing name for its retrded fans LOL.
