Nah this feature was first seen on chinese smartphone. Dont remember which but it is either lenovo,vivo, oppo or xiaomi with their "big megapixel" mode or image stacking thing.

Night Shot is also a combination of multiple shots and so as HDR so this Ice Guy must be leaving in the cave for many years and have not heard/seen that Android phone have the feature already many years before Apple does.

Deep Fusion is just a copy of Google's HDR+ (which was released 2 years ago).
You can already use it on many phones with the gcam app.

Getting inspired is not copying. Samsung will probably use different algorithms and filters and will give different results. That's like saying "Oh muh god, Kia is copying Ford, they both have 4 wheels and a steering wheel!!!!". Such "copying" is actually welcome since it makes competition harder and us users get more phones with cool features that can be done in software and don't require buying a new phone. Necessarily at least.

They should be able to do it on their phones with the qualcomm 855 as it has a dedicated NPU but they would rather have it as a launch feature for new phones. They forget about their phones as soon as they release them.
