        Anonymous, 13 Sep 2019Xperia 5 does not have motion eye camera. Motion Eye as marketing term has been dropped after XZ3 but main camera in Xperia 1 and Xperia 5 has all the features of Motion Eye because it's memory stacked and can buffer images. That's how Face Motion works, Smile prediction works and that's how Eye AF/AE works. Memory stacking is also a reason why it can pull of 960fps but it needs tons of light. You really need to judge when to use frame interpolation faux 120fps and when to us 960fps cause depending on a scene slow motion effect might look the same if you don't have superfast moving particles in the scene. Like shooting fast moving cars will do nothing in 960fps but fast moving car going through a puddle will do wonders in 960fps.

        Anyhow if 960fps is missing then it's two things: camera setup is not the same as in Xperia 1 or it's being clipped by software.

                  I tried the Xperia 1 only because I liked the photo samples from here and there, thinking if the 19.5/9 ratio of the P30Pro felt too long, the 21/9 would be horrible. But the whole phone just sit perfectly in hand, I was really surprised. I use it almost only one handed thanks to its narrowness.

                  There are other flaws, especially at this price tag, but the ratio and form factor feel really good, at least for me. Never had Sony phone before, my father was always angry about the cheap Sony phone they gave him for work, so I can understand some may not trust this brand (and so do hating post), but I think people should just try the phone rather than just reading reviews. Well, it goes for every phone in fact, especially android ones since there is so many choice.

                        Also, when it comes to these two phones, they both have their advantages & disadvantages over each other. Not really a definitive victor between these two.

                                Does Xperia 5v have 960fps recording?

                                  seems a good size, 21:9 ratio will take a while to get used to though

                                    "it has a larger screen, measured by surface area (plus, no notches, punch holes or any such silliness)" gsmarena praised this one. At least they think that notches are silly. Samsung mocked apple for notch but now they are in love with it.
                                    As long as bezels are small it is totally fine.
                                    Sony is the last remaining brand to join the notch party. Hope they never join. Wish they release proper mid-rangers with SD7xx series.

                                        mumbaikan, 12 Sep 2019Sony Nokia Motorola Asus are still better than others. Nokia is not better. They are trying hard in High end segment with some kind of innovation. They have to up their game with processors...
                                        Most of the time they launch mid range & budget phone with old processor. Even giant like samsung has raised their bar in this segment with A & M series. Whereas Nokia just relying on Android one experience.
                                        Nokia 7+ had SD660 in 2018. After more than 1&half year they are giving same processor phone at same price. Even their own 8.1 had much newer SD710 processor. Now 7.2 is successor of which phone idk. 8.1 was successor of 7+ but lost much better telephoto camera for depth sensor.
                                        just think that their phones are android one phones they just have to concentrate much on hardware side. Yet they are giving old hardware. What could be more lazier or ignorance than this?? What they are trying?
