The Mate 20 Pro had a wider notch like this year Mate 30 Pro. The vanilla Mate 20 was the one with the small circle or teardrop notch.
Anyways the new Mate 30 still has flat screen and smaller notch that the Pro version and added a second sensor and something more with 3D feature. Of course the most advanced ones will still be in the Pro.
For me the flat screen, the 3D sensor, the audio jack with FM Radio, underdisplay fingerprint sensor and the advanced cameras are enough reasons to buy it for me. Of course, others will prefer the Pro or the Porsche. For that there are several Mate 30 models to choose. The only question is whether there will be Mate 30X. But since they recently released the Mate 20X 5G ... they may want to launch the Mate 30X later even with other name. Or it'll be released in 3 days too.

Mate 30 looks like LG G7/G8 ThinQ . For my tastes don't like the design. Ditch the notch! Last year Mate 20 Pro was looking way better.

I have to say it will most probably my first notch and curve screen phone if 30X is not available this time, hope I can live with it, dual 40mp/ 5x zoom and maybe xenon flash with 90hz screen is so irresistible.. and the good thing is without google service this thing is gonna fly and more safe, so my personal info will not send to US😂.. just sideload GMS installer with gmail youtube thats all I need from google.

If they don't launch the mate 30X this year, I'll wait for honor note 11, honor note 11 will launch on 2020, hope honor note 11 will comes with M pen. If they cut off the mate 30X like Xiaomi did which means Huawei would end the larger phone version which make's users upset and I'll focus more of upcoming honor note series. If Huawei will not cut off the larger phone version for the future, it will be lucky. Should I wait for mate 30X or honor note 11?

Honestly, it's not the notch that's bothering me, it's the curved screen. My p30 pro really gets on my nerves when I'm typing and it doesn't always register the presses on the curved part of the screen.
If the non-pro Mate 30 has the 5x periscope lens the p30 pro is a gonner. I just want a nice flat screen.

Since Martin Cooper co-founder of Motorola back in 1972 unveiled first Motorola cell phone with his team.
Since then all copy.
For example it would be pretty nice if the Motorola brand remained the only cell phone brand in existence. No Sony, No samsung, no LG, no nokia, No Huawei, meizu, xiaomi, HTC etc.
Just and only motorola.
Why everybody have to copy??? Can you explain???

ohh, 16 Sep 2019ohh notch again....But it has advanced 3D Face Scanning technology on the selfie. It does have a reason why there's a notch just like why there's a notch on iPhones a la FaceID.
Don't you guys want advanced tech?
