Jay, 02 Mar 2012The resolution you can hardly see the pixels, and Belle had... moreUhh, i dont know about you but going from WVGA to qHD was a big jump for me, so there is a noticeable difference between the resolution Nokia uses and the resolution android uses. Its also not about seeing the "pixels" but making images look a lot more smoother, going by your argument it makes Nokia's 41MP sensor "useless" as you won't be able to see all the pixels would you?
Symbian belle may have finally gotten HTML5, but how long have Android have had it? Android has full flash which is what matters now and they have support for HTML5 when HTML5 becomes more mainstream later on.

Anonymous, 02 Mar 2012whatever you say android still fails. android devices attra... moresomeone is mad. LOL sure it "fails". Android fails at failing, because Nokia is number 1 at that. Right, so symbian doesn't need 1GHz then why does Nokia sell 1GHz devices now or devices with more than 256MB of ram? From what you Nokia fanboys keep shouting on here it would make me believe that you guys don't care about 1GHz, yet when Nokia finally released a 1GHz device you guys praise it so much. I laugh so hard. ;)

Anonymous, 02 Mar 2012"Nokia don't have much low end sales" there is yo... moreread wikipedia about symbian. nokia se motorola have an agreement to develop symbian. se moto samy try to build symbian phn. they did not get success. in 2008 nokia buy symbian os and get restrictions on it. and samy se moto had no right to use this os.at that time nokia ruled ther world lie n90, 995,82,97 and 5800. which make nokia king of mobile phn, it is a matter of sorrow that nokia didnt make or indifferent to the symbian heavier like android.

Jay, 01 Mar 2012I will say again you don't what you are talking about! You... moreJay, sir, you're being quite harsh directly insulting Mr. Lex when he's never criticized you. For credentials, my mom has an E7 that I regularly update and set up for her. I have an Optimus V with custom ROM for my own use. As for comparisons, Gingerbread has superior word prediction for one thing. As a user types, several suggestions pop up right above the keyboard, whereas Belle suggests only one word which annoyingly pops up in front of text. I tried SWYPE, but again, suggestions pop up right on top of the text, blocking the view of whatever I'm trying to type. If you know of another keyboard or at least a setting I've missed please let me know so I can try it.
Belle I think doesn't have apps for Netflix, Amazon MP3/Cloud, Hulu, Kindle, and Nook. If you know how to get Nook e-books onto the E7 please let me know too. Skyfire I think was also discontinued for Symbian. (Would there happen to be a stable and current Roku remote control app btw?)
Belle's YouTube app doesn't have high quality videos. Symbian doesn't yet support screen resolutions beyond Nokia's proprietary nhd. My little brother has an Xperia Play and my eyes melt looking at FWVGA.
I find Belle doesn't multitask as well since it chugs if I'm downloading from Ovi while using Opera. Opera also has slower pinch to zoom vs Opera on Gingerbread. Ovi maps is also a bit more cumbersome (like no multitouch) vs Google Nav, though given its offline capabilities it's worth the tradeoff.
And a little credit to other manufacturers. Belle's notification area? That is so inspired by Android, specifically TouchWiz. That digital clock? Very reminiscent of Sense's iconic clock widget.
Anyway I came on to congratulate Nokia, so CONGRATS! My first camera phone was a Nokia and my first smartphone was a Nokia. Also a proud (though amdittedly frustrated) owner of an N800. Probably gonna get the N808 for mom's 50th bday since she prefers a camera to smartphone functions anyway.

AnonD-11222, 02 Mar 2012one more thin if every one buys SGS2 the who buys Galaxy Y,... moreThe Galaxy Y isn't in the same price category or targeted audience as the N8 isn't it? N8 was Nokia's flagship, why would anyone who can only afford a Galaxy Y(lowest of low) comment? Since again you keep referring to low end to compare to high end, do you see anyone here sporting an Asha 300 comparing their Asha 300 to a Galaxy S II? You've already lost this argument, just let it go and save yourself some face.

AnonD-11222, 02 Mar 2012different countries different price do i need you to explai... moreROFL the prices I quoted you was AVERAGE price sold for regions, NON CONTRACT price. Obviously you have no clue about import duties as the price I quoted you are from online retailers, meaning that is the price you pay. So again, Exhibit 4G beats the Nokia 700 and 701 despite costing only 20 euros more. These are OFF CONTRACT PRICE, contract prices the Exhibit 4G and the Exhibit II 4G are both free. Anything else you want to say?

AnonD-11222, 02 Mar 2012Android is successful because of Samsung other brands don't... moreI'm not really sure what your comments is supposed to mean, but then the same goes for most of the ranting lunatics on here!
However in spite of what you say a good portion of credit for making Android popular should go to HTC with devices such as the Hero, Desire etc. Samsung's Galaxy line is just the next step.
But whatever dude, carry on ranting random gibberish by all means!

AnonD-11222, 02 Mar 2012Galaxy Ace is almost 40% cheaper than Nokia 701, Galaxy Y i... moreFunny how you keep comparing low end Samsung devices to middle range Nokia devices, how about look at the Exhibit 4G, cost is 200 euros, vs the Nokia 701 and 700, both coming in at 180 euros. The Samsung Exhibit 4G beats both of them easily in terms of Screen resolution, type of screen, and performance as the Exhibit 4G uses a Cortex A8 CPU and a powerSVR 540 GPU. Maybe you should stop trying to cherry pick data to "prove" your refuted point. Nokia has just as many low end symbian devices that sells for around the same price as low end android devices, CONTRARY to what YOU want to believe, the bulk of Nokia sales comes from low end devices, not high end devices which is the main reason why Nokia refuses to release any statistics about their N8, E7, Lumia 800/710 devices.

AnonD-11222, 02 Mar 2012no my mistake Nokia uses Android and all brands uses Symbia... moreyou did give some explanaiton, but the other Guy had a valid point. counter a point if you have one.
Samsung, LG, MOTO,SE all manufactured devices with Symbian, its only NOKIA turned too Greedy to take it up themselves.
Remember iPhone, though you like it or not has got biggest sale figures for hi-end smartphone category. not to mention Ace & wild fire donot fall in low end but are midsegment smartphones. and they have not comparision to Asha, c2-03,c1,c2,x2 etc series of nokia
