Going by the AVERAGE PRICE of smartphone that nokia sold, means MOST of their sales are low end, thats why the average smartphone sale of Nokia was around 136 euros. The galaxy Y cost around 110 euro, Nokia 500 cost around 130 euros, their price is not far.
Nokia uses Android? LOL how sad, you don't even know when to give up, I refuted your statement that Nokia was the only one that sold Symbian but giving factual evidence, Motorola used Symbian up until 2008 same with many of the other manufacturers, they moved on away from symbian because it was such a horrible experience, where as manufacturers are moving to Android because Android is winning. HALF of the smartphones in the world are now Android, bet you're pissed?

1.U tell them 'samsung n apple hav dominated smart phone market specialy ,in Q4, with apple takin 80% n sammy takin 15% of the total smartphone profits'. They say 'Nokia rulz!'. 2.U tell them 'only competetors for the best smartfone award title hav been sammy n apple for entire 2 years'. They say'Nokia rulz!'.
3. U tell them 'market analysts r wonderin how other brands r gonna survive in the smart phone market wid such dominating presence of apple n samsung in the market'. They say 'Nokia rulz!'.
4.U tel them 'nokia itself reported 1 bilion euro loss in Q4'. They say 'nokia rulz'.
5.U tell them 'symbian's market share in 2011 is nothing compared to other platforms'. They say 'symbian rox'
6.U tell them 'nokia itself is plannin to abandon symbian' they say 'symbian rox'

Last time I checked Sony Ericcsson, Motorola, Samsung, and LG all once used Symbian, why did they decide to stop if it was such a great OS that sold so well? Nokia doesn't have cheaper lower end models? Oh my mistake, Nokia obviously only sells E7, N8, Lumia 800, Lumia 900.. and that C5, C7, Nokia 701, etc aren't really by Nokia since those devices are so cheap right? When Nokia states that their average smartphone sold for a price of around 130 euros that must be fake too right? Nokia doesn't have cheap devices! No! the Chinese must be making fake Nokia's again.

2. Friends and family referred Android devices because it was good, you wouldn't tell your brother or sister to buy a device that sucked would you? Hype? Aside from the Droid series most other android devices received little to no advertising. In fact only recently has Samsung began to market their devices more with commercials and ads. The hype was because it was good device about to launch with great specs.
3. Symbian was declining rapidly even before the announcement to focus on WP7, in fact the decline in market sales was the main reason why Nokia decided to focus on WP7.
All in all, im glad that you as a person who likes Nokia actually acknowledges that these reasons are your opinion rather than blindly keep claiming something that is evidently not true like some others on here.

google doesn't want nokia to integrate Nokia Maps on android. It's a no-brainer, actually.

640x360 on a 4 inch screen is really ugly, I wish Nokia would have used the free Android with a 720p screen with this high-resolution camera!
Android can also handle both Adobe Flash 11 and HTML5, and have many more good games and apps...!
I hope Sony will make an even better camera, or atleast an almost as good camera, on one of their Androids!

Anonymous, 02 Mar 2012Oh but I have used Symbian, I've used N91, N95, N80, E71, E... moreyou had never touched a belle handset,just check out gsmarena or some other sites review ,they are extremely impressed by it.i have compared my nexus s gb to belle on my sister 700,belle defenitely looks and is equally as fast as nexus s.only thing it suck is browser,but again a new html5 browser is on way.the point is other os cant even handle a 1080p without dualcore ,other os dont support dual gpu.
I too was surprised when i read this but its truth.devices like razr uses over 2500mah battery while n8 use only 1300mah.consider that also.

Nokia maps, nHD, great camera, microSD, full control on telephony & advance messaging is the requirement for my next smartphone.

im using nokia c7 for over a year now and was planning to buy SGS2 but after seeing this amazing phone il just have to wait for it! I will definitely buy this phone!
