iam a samsung galaxy s user and iam not a camera man.so I dont have any special interest in this device.but one tging I know is symbian belle is not outdated os.my brother has nokia c7 that runs belle.
it is butter smooth and steady.i played with it for about a week and I never seen a lag or a crash.
what is even.more special about belle is how smooth it is considering its outdated hardware.
coming to no. of apps,symbian does have all the general apps used and they do get updated often.
carla might be completely written in qt which makes it much more better.
what symbian lacks is good browser.the current browser is still very sluggish but opera does decent job.
belle has got some good widgets and many more to come.
all the android fan boys like me just try out belle instead of just blindly writing it off.
btw 2016 is long way from now.

A friend of mine has been using this for the last 2 weeks and he loves the camera on it. In fact a friend of mine a miramax says they will be using this to record some of the close up shots on the next De Niro Movie.

iOS or Android don't need "as many cores as possible". FYI, iOS 5.0 runs butter smooth on a singlecore, old-architecture ARM Cortex A8 iPhone 4 (non-S), that's clocked lower than the ARM11 that can be found on 808PV.

Just shows how much the mainstream really know! You all make me laugh. One it was professional journalists with there cameras and anaylists who voted that the 808 won best device award. Also this is Belle FP1 which is another update for the Nokia Belle OS. Also symbian Belle's programming is so clevely written or coded, that even my c7 is quicker tha galaxy 2 and icrap4s. And all these cores and android and ios are necessary to keep up with hardcore Wp7/8 and even belle. A genius is when someone gets more out of less. Symbian Belle can run 20+ internet pages over 10 apps and be used as a modem and webcamera, and be used in a phonecall all at the sametime. Without any slowdown at all. I know the peopld in the uk from psion that first put together symbian. Also Nokia Carla is due out in a few momths and that is way better than ios and android, and there is also dual core Nokia donna due out sometime this year. That is serious power. Android and ios need as many cores as possible. Just to keep up with hardcore. Don't worry about all these 8 cores as either, they need it to keep up with hardcore bug free perfectly scripted single core proccessors. Makes me laugh. I net einstein is laughing at ios and android needing so much resources. You should pay close attention to what microsoft has just done with the 610. That is genius work. Downscaling the proccessor power and ram. But still no speed or performance difference to a nokia 800/900/710. Now that is genius. To get more out of less is genius.

I still Believe Symbian is more stable than Android. IF Nokia improve the features in Symbian!. I will go for it.

No matter how cool the sensor is, it still lacks a decent optics. That is why i'll stick to my mirrorless compact where I can put on a nice f/1.4 lens. U mad?

omg.. i agree that symbian belle is far better than android in terms of performance and user-friendliness. android is like a freakin' useless toy. I was a symbian user(nokia c7) but b'coz of my friends I was forced to switch to android.. but, that was the biggest mistake I've ever made. Android sucks. maybe 70% of the apps from android market are trash. Android eats a big amount of RAM just to operate background applications which I don't actually need. Android lacks stability and consistency. Android is just a decorated OS that attracts people for its millions of crap apps. so now, I and my bro plan to sell our galaxy w and xperia neo to grab those belle-operated phones.. wahahaha.!!

at least must have 3.2MP front facing camera(secondary camera), then have more than 1500mAh bettery..also use windows phone.. this can make ore awesome ..

what parts did Nokia design themselves? only the camera, just like HTC and Apple for example. Samsung even makes their own screens and SoCs.
Nokia chose WP because MS needed Nokia more than Google. the mutual benefit was greater.

It depend on theirselves what os they want to use. I prefer to use symbian, wp7 n apple rather than crappy android. they all got btr memory management than android(zzz.. y apple bcame like android.. i wan freedom in my life..)
