So it didn't get to the top of the benchmarks? Well there's your so called best chip of 2019
Qualcomm and Apple easily outclassed it.
Nice Samsung made UFS 3.0 though ;)

Iphones gets 460k score in V7 version not v8, how you can make that comparison? there are 2 diferent basemark scores, i really think you guys miss the post.

AnonD-454049, 20 Sep 2019Wrong, benchmarks are good indicators of gaming performanceRight, they say benchmarks doesn't translate to real life performance, then when opening apps it actually does, same for gaming and emulators.
Except for Geekbench, IDK why it gives a high single-core score to Exynos when it's slower than Snapdragon variants of S10s/Note 10s.
Samsung can't optimize their own in-house SoC ??

I'm predicting 530k on iPhones 11 when they get updated to AnTuTu V8.

My opinion is that they made their "performance mode" available only after they were caught. To me it feels like bad faith action. Yes now that it's available globally, these scores are more relevant. But I hope you understand how to me it still doesn't feel right.

I am not judging a phone by its soc. It does not paint the entire picture for me. Hands on experience does and soc does.

Shame there's no follow up on the matter and how the mode actually works now (the article still says it's "upcoming")

AnonD-558092, 20 Sep 2019I do seem to recall that when they were caught, they said s... moreHuawei called 'cheating' about benchmark before because they triggered 'performance mod' on the 3d Mark app. It breaks the law & terms on that app, therefore called as 'cheating'. On the newer Mate 20 series, they separate the 'performance mod', unlike auto-triggered as before.
Now that 'performance mod' will auto-triggered if your games are listed in Game Suite/Gpu Turbo certified, so in a real world usage, u got the benefit with the so called 'cheating' score number. Sure it runs hot on the benchmark app considering its a stress test, but when gaming, even with the heaviest one, theres no way one would call it on the overheat level, even after hours of gaming.
Safe to say, its 'cheating' on the benchmark app, but that 'cheating' score number put in a real life usage. As a user, i wont call it as cheating at all.
