Apple points to Corning as iPhone screen glass maker

Apple pointed to Corning as the manufacturer of the majority of the glass for the iPhone.

Apple Corp.'s bn run like a secret society but forgets dat when it comes to hi-tech, secrets don't last long cos someone will sure find even better ways n means of doing the same thing. Did I hear Apple say , ''At least, until then!'' ?....

    yea! and apple will call it "iGlass" n sue everybody who use gorilla glass.
    Whenever i think of apple, the word "sue" always follows it

      This isn't new news.

      It's all in the book, Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson, Chapter 36 - The iPhone

      Corning made Gorilla Glass years ago but they never had a product for it to go in. Steve Jobs found out about it around 2006 and decided to use it for the iPhone.

      We've known about this since October last year when the book was published.

        i felt that the iPhone front glass is different than the back because the back of my iPhone is too easy to scratch than the front but who knows maybe its only me who feel that

          It's obvious. They kept it a secret, so they could once more claim they've done something they haven't done.
