AnonD-6505, 06 Mar 2012I am not interested to comment any others post but your pos... moreDude its all fine abt having value for innovation. But no one really cares for innovation unless its coupled with performance. Nokia only takes 1 or 2 things n upgrades them while competetors r pushin an upgrade in all directions. Take 808 for eg, what else apart from the camera is appealing to u? All nokia has done is upgrade to an excellent camera n dat too at the cost of resolution. The only phone dat nokia upgraded in all directions was the lumia 800. It had bttr os,bttr cpu, gpu, screen, design etc compared to other nokia phones n dat sold it pretty much a lot. But i dont expect lumia 900 to sell that much bcuz it'll hav only a few upgrades over the 800. N ur wrong abt samsung. The only thing that luked lyk it was copied was s2's design which m sure was nt meant to b so bcuz no wants to get sued. Anything else u think dat s2 copied frm others? Moreover samsung is just as innovative as nokia except dat its innovations r more practical than those of nokia's. For eg. An innovation in display tech lyk 'SUPER AMOLED' is still appreciated n used. But the nokia innovations loose there value soon. Moreover, samsung is more innovative in the CPU, RAM, etc. section than nokia with its exynos processors n ddr4 ram chips. N there r still more innovations to cum frm sammy's side this year n the next one which i cannot state due to risk of being kicked out of this forum for advertising. But if u wish to see wat kind of innovations samsung holds den u can check them out on 'android authority'. Perhaps that might change ur mind abt samsung's innovations.

That's ok. As long as the rumored Lumia PureView device actually exists and they bring that here to North America. I'll gladly buy that one.

AnonD-44714, 06 Mar 2012North America doesn't like Symbian.
Why still there ar... moreYa, the majority don't, but I'm in North America and love Symbian. I was REALLY anticipating this phone coming here and being offered by service providers. This is a terrible shame.
I guess I'll be importing this phone and paying for an unlocked Global version, suffer through any non-localized support for the device, and lack of apps written for NA English (all things I can live with).

Dying Symbian,
Closed Service... moreI am not interested to comment any others post but your post really encourage to comment!
Well let me clarify you ,
#Nokia doesn't copy others to design their phone like Samsung always copy Apple!
#Nokia is the first smartphone manufactures , who produce the smartphone but people don't know about that or don't care about that because they got it at very reasonable (or you can say cheap) price like Nokia 6120c
#Nokia believes in innovation like they always do examples Nokia 6600, Nokia N95, Nokia N86 8mp, Nokia N8 , Nokia N9 and Now Nokia 808 pureview
#Nokia always support their product if there is any possibilities not like Samsung who doesn't care about their Products after sales e.g. Samsung Galaxy S.
#It doesn't means Nokia is the perfect company e.g. they are failed to impress hi-tech lovers because of these things
-Not smooth software(like Symbian S60 2nd edition, 3rd edition) and also Saymbian s^3 but Belle(update) did the well job in that segment though
-Not sufficient hardware like 256MB Ram, nHD resolution in Flagship phone, No dual core processor at this time But Software optimization did the great job and improve the overall performance of Nokia smartphone! It is not applied in WP7 because it's not as mature that Symbian(or Nokia) O/S.
Well the fact is it doesn't matter what are they doing , But it matters which way they are doing I mean to say just copy others design/hardware configuration and modified and produce the great product and sell them hugely( like samsung Galaxy II , Samsung Galaxy Tab)or Innovate the new design (like N9, Lumia 800 )innovate the new hardware( Camera in N95,N86, N8, N808)and sell them ?
And another fact is Galaxy S II is better than Iphone 4 no matter it's the copy/paste product with Android!
And I support Apple Ipad when it was released in first time not because its the great product(yeah its nice product for Gaming and so on) But because that was Innovation!
At last we are the consumer and we want best product which suit for our needs as well as our personality and everybody's needs are different so their choice are also different e.g. when two phones available like Samsung Galaxy III and Nokia Pureview 808 then you buy Samsung Galaxy III and enjoy with that another person buy Nokia Pureview and enjoy with that products then who the hell are you say that his/her decision are wrong or who are they that force you to buy Nokia Pureview?
I love innovation and always support the innovation! This time Nokia Pureview 808 Rocks!

kaash, 06 Mar 2012i agree wid u, however nokia phones are still most talked a... morePlease lets not get into the number of comments. Most of the comments have not much of technical/business details about the features but unnecessary bashing by couple of mindless fanboys, that said few of the discussions are really fruitful too.
Secondly, most of the posts are from other o/s users. you can search for the comments posted by me in them(have good number,i guess).
Truth to be known, most of the comments criticize the way Nokia is moving. I suggest not to decide the worth by the number of comments alone, please look at the content too. thats why , high comment count.

if nokia had stayed with meego and n9 and promoted it and backed their own design i would have signed up for another 24 month and kept loyal to nokia, after i was conned into the n8 i swore that i would never go back to nokia, i hope they produce something to tempt me back because the reason all these other phones are doing so well is because the king has fallen! once nokia get it right again they will be back on top,
what id like to see? n9 type phone running on a well supported os, windows nokia would be ok but where are these custom wp7 os that they were talking about?
android running nokia with multi core,41mp sensor,16gb (expandible memory)with a design that rivals the n9 that would be a beautifull thing!!

Nokia is trying to make a comeback of sorts but the most unforgiving thing is giving up on SymbianOS. They did great when they came up with Meego (best designed OS + best designed phone N9), but failed the audience once again declaring it dead. I would have loved to buy N9 and I am sure many would. Nokia & Microsoft are embarking on their best designed phones (N9) glory by creating stupid Lumia 800/900. Had they fully developed Meego Android + iOS would have nowhere been seen. Damn Nokia!!!

Closed Service... moremeego was well accepted by those who were aware of its existence. It's just that Nokia didn't push enough effort in advertising it. And the only thing that drives back the people who are aware of its existence is that MeeGo is so new that very few apps are available for it and Nokia didn't bother that much in developing apps for it. check the N9 user opinions page.
Android and Meego, i love you two.

Think about it guys... People are Dying for all the thousands of apps on Android and Apple, but in reallity how much of that are you gonna actually use or even can use, because of space constraints... But now the 41mp camera phone is something that will actually make a difference, cause u'll be getting better pics that are there for a lifetime...

I'll be importing one. I'm not going to cough up a $10 ulimited data plan that I average 5 GB a month on and tether to my computers without costing a thing extra. It'll be the best phone for me as my N8 has been my favorite.
