I think that's acctually not bad if you like to buy used phones.

    They just let you know that the performance and quality of the phone are no longer the same.
    Everything will still work.

      Meh, at my place no one went to Apple store for a repair if not for warranty... Apple spare part are too damn expensive.. People will find a way around this eventually..

          We had displays that support DRM, now we have display DRMs.
          It's not so bad actually. Only they should just report knockoff displays and not uncertified technician repairs. This will hurt resale value too

            That's how you kill the "right to repair" act. You circumvent it by basically forcing people to not want to repair their hardware in 3rd party stores. EU will freak on Apple, there will be a rain made of lawsuits against Apple. I'm sure they price that in when including their "feature".

              Yay! New feature. Kudos to Apple for thinking out of the box..
