Nokia Lumia 800 battery life gets a threefold improvement

as i mentioned in the last news post .. mine i charged from 6 am ... and now its 8 pm .. and it shows me that 6 hrs left ... so ITS PERFECT UPDATE for BATTERY LIFE ... i use whatssapp (HSPDA and Wifi and Music) ... GREAT UPDATE NOKIA ;)

Cause the symbian os is customisable.u can play hell with it...so think before u write a comment.

I just updated my phone.
-Battery life increased but not 3 folds for sure, yet to be tested.
-Hardware lights are always on (varying in brightness actually).
-Camera now focuses well in video mode.
-Call ending... issue is resolved (worked for me on 1 call that I did, earlier it would not end).
-Better bass now for sure. Still I have my doubts.
-Interference noise is addressed. But SNR in songs is still terrible :(.
#My previous Lumia was fine with SNR and interference, damn I replaced it because of battery issue).
I suspect major manufacturing defect on some models that Nokia is trying to cover-up with the updates. Very sad.
Humble request to GSMArena to do their infamous audio quality test again.

Yes, the update looks very promising so far. Battery life seems to be alot better.

Now I can finally boast my Lumia 800. Super Update Nokia. Battery has improved leaps and bounds. Regular usage of about 2 hours of music and 3G. As for Bass response, well now it is what it should be and what people expect from a phone like this. It was virtually non existent earlier and I couldnt wrap my head on the reason. Really happy with this update.

I really hope this sorts out some bugs because the lumia 800 has been an awful phone for coming back into store, it has so much promise. Lets see if it delivers.

Which kind of, y'know, sucked. Mind you, LG E900 now in house for over a year and even more usable due to updates compared to the buying date.

When was this update released? I dont think i have done it yet, will have to check it out. Battery life is the only thing that upsets me about the phone, as everything else works fine. If this is fixed (or at least inproved) then it will be a mega win for me!!

kdm, 07 Mar 2012in my lumia 710 has such a problem with the battery life...... moreYa 50%right but u can improve somehow by yourself by turning off wifi and data connection ,, u can find it in setting and when yiu have to use net then turn on your data connection .. This will improve your battery life aomehow and now a new update is available for lumia 710

Nokia is going to release an update for Lumia 710 very shortly.
it fixes Battery Issue, Call ending bug & improved music balance. Expect update in 3 days

Lumia users can just admit they regret buying this. Its good the 1st month, new and shiny, its ok the second month, neutral the third and then the regrets starts to sneak in. But will still take many months before users start admitting it, history has shown that it takes up to a year before people will admit they bought a bad phone. Need at least 2 disappointing updates before hope dies as well.

Battery Life has really improved alot...and I mean that...And the hardware backlit always remains ON...+ camra indoor quality has imroved...no greenish tags ...Have yet not checked the audio...will update shortly guys...
And yes even the call ending issue has been resolved..
PROUD THAT unlike APPLE and other, NOKIA RELEASED THE UPDATE 1st in INDIA

it's a nice hp, but if Nokia don't make any move to solve this battery issue, it can be useless. I'm waiting review from other user as well about this matter. wait and see

I have done some diagnostic test to see how much battery is consumed in mA before and after the update. It is drastic, in standby the battery is consumed much less and dischrage rate spikes on screen use and app usage only. Before it was always high. Plus some old bugs have been fixed.
