Since no new flagships left to be unveiled this year, We can comfortably say that Asus ROG PHONE II is the phone of the year and Redmi K20 pro is the flagship killer of the year.

Google is going the Apple Route.
-Pixel series limited to Weak 18W charging, Huawei giving 27W wireless charging.
-Limited to 6gb RAM. Other flagships have 12gb RAM.
-3700 mAh is just bad when Asus has given 6000 mAh.
-No wide angle lens. 2x Telephoto is useless.
-Limited internal storage, No card slot.
-looks ugly from the back like iPhone.

Then they say 4 XL will have same battery as 3a XL, which has 3700 mAh battery.

Those specs are really outdated. 6GB of RAM should be fine on stock Android, but 64/128 GB of non-expandable storage is downright pathetic. They should've either upgraded the storage, or added an SD card slot. Then there's the questionable battery capacities (these phones are running 90hz displays, which eat more battery anyway). They've also removed fingerprint sensor in favor of facial one (which isn't everyone's cup of tea).
I just fail to find any kind of appeal for these phones. Even the iPhones were more impressive this year.

I don't know why people are so hyped about the cameras when Google just added a second wide angle lens and kept the main sensor unchanged , same as pixel 3 exactly

May be Pixel 4 will be highly optimized as many of the comments suggest, but considering the increase in features I suspect the SOT will be worse than Pixel 3.

OnePlus 5 has an obviously weaker processor than Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 series has this state of the art front camera that could've trumped Apple's FaceID if it weren't for the feature being USA exclusive.

Seriously pixel team @ google, you guys are doing commendable job in outshining apple team.. Earlier bimbettes & rich snobs flaunted iphone, now they have your precious little pixel dumbphones to show off !! Ever increasing screen size with decreasing battery capacity, these oxymoronic phones deserve a standing ovation with slow claps !!

anyway battery is ok after all you dont know what kind of optimisations google prepared lets wait and see
just check xperia 1 battery test everyone says its so small but it does much better than bigger batteries :)
