For once, I bless camera bump on smartphones. Just look at the Nokia 808 PureView and the Nokia Lumia 1020, the bump is there because of the big sensor and true photographers will know that bigger sensor means more precise details. You just cannot beat hardware physics, it will stay that way.

Dear Apple CEO,
Do you know that most Iphone user are carrying Iphone + powerbank all the time? Why you want to make your phone slimmer? I suggest you make your phone thicker and equip with higher capacity battery. Let's say your ordinary Iphone come with 3000mah and the Plus version come with 5000mah or 6000mah battery. At least you have some selling point on your next iphone. Nobody care about the thickness as long as not over 12mm thick., we care about the battery capacity.
Imaging how thick is an Iphone + powerbank ? It's about 25mm. People can accept carrying 25mm of thickness and why you want to make your phone slimmer?
Believe me, try you next Iphone with 3000mah and 5000mah + dual sim. Your sales will come back like when Steve Jobs is still living.

How can they get away with this? Panasonic launched a very slim compact camera, and I believe Minolta did even earlier, with a folded optics (periscope) type lens system.
And more recently the Chinese phone companies have done the same.
I know, it's in the claims, but this looks fairly like prior art.
