There are several countries with well 5G covered areas today. So for those who live there, buy 5G phones make sense and of course some brands already have products for them and profit those sales. If USA and Apple aren't interested yet is their problem but others move fast and the technology don't wait for slow adopters, 6G is already under R&D.
Maybe sell dated and overpriced hardware still works for them there with high profit calling them premium. But the decline in sales show clearly that things are changing in foreign countries and now people of those countries care more about how much they pay and what they get, not like their blind fans.

what's the use of 5G without good coverage....at least until 2020 you can't demand 5G compatibility. It will make mobiles unnecessarily expensive.

Wifi6 is a lot more important for everyday use and 5g (buzzword) is under heavy development at least 5 more years the main benefits are on very short distance

There is hardly any 5G anywhere because the reception distance is so small you need thousands of antennas clustered in very small surface area. Which costs tons of money. 5G is incredibly inefficient. Besides, what do you need 1Gbps speeds on mobile device? Other than moving recorded video somewhere? Literally only for that.

Good decisions in business are about making money, not following the flawed opinion of an average Joe. The S10 5G has been selling in high numbers and 30% of Note 10 series' handsets are 5G. Apple is missing out on sales, even if their followers are generally a bit dense. How the network is doesn't matter, the fact is that consumers are buying 5G handsets now. Just because the network isn't developed in the US, doesn't mean that it's the same in all countries.

Do people even read the article before posting the anti-Apple comments here? The article clearly states that Apple will use their own in-house modems from 2022(very optimistic) or 2023 and until then, they're gonna use Qualcomm modems after they had struck the deal with QC early this year.
Why has GSMArena become such a cesspool of these kind of degenerate brainless haters or is it just fun to hate on Apple by the Chinese/Russian trolls?

Are the commenters even reading this? Apple is planning to have 5G in next year's iPhones, it's just that it won't be Apple's own modem until 2022.
