I hardly ever use selfie cam so i prefer the popup and not something that waste space on my screen. Have it in the corner like they patented some of the corner cams. Punch hole is dumb, just like water drop that only waste the screen space.

I see that everyone hates this design. I hope Xiaomi notices this very negative opinions and change the K30's front camera design before they make it final.

Dropped.
I was dragging my feet on purchasing the K20 Pro but if this is the company's decision, along with the new failed Redmi (note) 8 series, I am no longer interested.
Punch holes are downright ugly. Dual 5G to jack up the sticker price when the world still doesn't have adequate 5G implementation (in real life practicality, not marketing speech fluff like 5Ge) for a single carrier only shouts of a "paper specification" rather than any real life advantage.
Now if they only remove the headphone jack, this phone will truly be DOA.
I purchased a Redmi Note 7 Pro during the recent sales event (in India) for family and that might be the last thing that I will be purchasing from Xiaomi. This brand is really losing sight of what matters.

Fist time I really happy when I know k30is coming but now I am really disappointed by Xioami bcoz they are back to punch hole display we need full view display like k20 hide selfie camera is the better solution come on Redmi and show your power and proved it you are the next market leader in the world.

Me, yesterday, at K20 Pro comment section: "I'm gonna wait for the K30 series."
Xiaomi, today: "K30 series will have punch-hole double cameras."
Me, right now: "OK, I'm gonna wait for the K40."

At 1st seemed they want to be Oneplus (Pop Up), Now they want to be Samsung with that holes. Make Up your mind & focus on something, maybe the newly patented design with full screen notchless, start making it & sell it now.

BennyBrick5, 14 Oct 2019Really confused on this one. How do we go from an uninterru... moreThere are people who do not like popups. Another thing to consider is that they have already sold a popup to potential popup buyers. Those people probably won't upgrade again so soon.

Walter C. Dornez, 14 Oct 2019I think they are trying to appeal to all types of consumers... moreMaybe yeah; that would also explain the differences between, e.g., Redmi 7 and Redmi 8.
