15 October 2019

Well to me google was always midranger but with price of most expensive flagship.
There are tons of lot better faster stable and reliable devices.
Indian people really dont miss much.
For example Xiaomi 8 note pro is equaly good for 1/4 of price of pixel.

Anonymous, 16 Oct 2019:))) have you seen Insider, Erin Brokovich, J.F. Kennedy?!!... morein college, i had the opportunity to have the then chief of the who/fao joint commission on food safety as my resource person for my undergraduate thesis. i was given access to their repository of data and scientific journals. the united states indeed do not conform with the un standards when it comes to pesticides and herbicides contaminants- they have lower standards and are often 10 times lower than un standards. however, worse is china- they do not conform with un standards nor they have any standards at all. in the 1980s an entire farming town was wiped out because of pesticide contamination of their food. infant formula and baby food produced in china also contain high concentration of pesticides even up to now, that's why their soldiers whenever they go to a different country they hoard on infant formula and baby food.

Samsung's M series shows its still trying to give a fight to xiaomi in india. Whether they are winning or not is another matter. Oneplus is releasing all its phones so i don't know why you included it. Even apple is attempting to woo indian users but the tactics that worked for it in west are no longer helping it in india

All they are talking about is rubbish! They purposely don't want to sell their Pixel phone in India because they think so.

And neither OnePlus, apple not Samsung won. It's Redmi and Nokia that makes the win here.

To be honest, Pixel4 is very expensive, it has nothing special, there are many options with better specs, better design and better pricing (Oppo Ace One, OnePlus, Redmi magic, etc).

while the nexuses were a runaway hit, the pixels weren't viewed as favourably due to the comparatively monstrous pricing

Most disappointing product of the year.

                          Unfortunate.

Have been using Pixel 2XL... it's camera still beats the latest phone cameras. Was so looking forward to Pixel 4. Disappointed.

Bye Bye Google. Welcome Apple or Huawei.

                            its the camera
most of the users care about the camera
not many would care about the gestures anyway. havent used it. dont care abt it.

having said that, if the phone was to release at a higher price point in india like the other countries without 100% usability of all features, then that would be a problem. they would definitely have to launch in india with features disabled at a discounted price ofcourse

Indians does not loose anything, this phone is a failure already anyway

I mean, at $799, it's too expensive for large majority of India anyway. It's why Google probably didn't even care despite India being a huge market otherwise. They've done that much research in advance for sure...

Pixel 4 missing out on India is a mistake in my opinion as Google could have trashed Apple in terms of mind share.

Looks like Apple will continue to dominate in the higher priced section of the market, and the Korean/Chinese phones will dominate the mid to lower end sales.

Apple Products are overpriced. Google not selling their latest phone. I won't be surprised if Indian continue to shun their products in the future.
Samsung and other Chinese OEM like OnePlus, OPPO, Xiaomi, Realme, Honor, etc,. are the real winners here.
