        You make contract with which chip you want...true in theory but not in practice.
        As you're too lazy to inform you properly and read my links, I will try to explain you.
        In term of LTE or CDMA patents, you have no choice : it's standard essentiel patents, Qualcomm has some of these. OEM are forced to contract with Qualcomm.
        Qualcomm force abusive fees...courthouses said it
        Now imagine :
        - a device cost 300dollars
        - OEM is forced to pay 5% fees for licences...that makes 15dollars
        - Qualcomm's R&D bring back to each phone is around 3dollars
        - Qualcomm's profits are 12dollars without providing any chip and without giving OEM any choice.
        - Mediatek and Qualcomm release each one a chip with the same features on every aspects...it cost them maybe 20 dollars.
        - to make profits, Mediatek try to sell it 28dollars...and to make 8 dollars profits
        - Qualcomm is able to sell it 20dollars and to make 12dollars profits because of patents.
        In your opinion, which chip the OEM will choose, of course Qualcomm's! But not because it's better, because it's cheaper (and you won't believe me because everybody say Mediatek is cheap...because it equip cheap phones...wrong analysis, fake facts)
        That's the way it works. European judgement even say Qualcomm sold chip under its price to kill NVIDIA's soc. You can read KFTC's judgement too.
        That's why Mediatek used 12nm to build G90T, reduce price to be able to sell it...
        That's why you will find more Mediatek on cheaper phones, patents fees are based on device's price, less fees means less rebates on chip.

            OEM need LTE or CDMA licences, without these licences, they can't release the phone...
            Qualcomm has what we call Standard Essentiel Patents.
            Are you able to understand this simple thing?
            If Qualcomm refuse to provide licences, OEM can't release the phone (in fact Apple did, but they can afford going in front of justice)

            Qualcomm is able to sell bad soc...
            You can't say 410 or 615 or 810 are great ones...

            As you obviouly didn't ever have a look a the links I give you, you haven't all the hypotheses to make a wise conclusions.

            About updates, one more you're wrong...
            Redmi 6 with Helio P22, was released with Oreo and allready gets Pie...

            Every, yes every, Nokia released with Mediatek's, get updates...
            Even Nokia 1 with entry level mt6737 will get Android 10!
            The first time I see mt6737, it run on Android 6.0! Nokia 1 was released with Oreo.

Mediatek also have some great,like p60 and p70 and nobody have problems with them. Just to explain u that I'm not fan boy.I'm talking all time about your g90t,which is built on 12 nm process and work on high temperatures. About updates I don't want to talk,they will update it on Android 10 in 2025 lol.The last one who will get miui 11 is your device. Deal with it,u buy cr..ap and better change it for mi 9t or mi 9lite if someone want to buy that radiator.

                Some judges can explain Qualcomm's market share...

                Qualcomm release many bad soc, and manage to sell them...
                Such as 410, 412, 415, 615, 616, 808, 810...
                Mediatek had competitors to 410, 412, 415, 615, 616. Far far better ones...but Qualcomm sell tons of bad soc.
                Samsung refuse to buy 810 because they we're big enough to refuse. Others shut their mouth and were forced to buy.

                It's easy, you've got standard essentiel patents.
                You refuse to licence competitors
                OEM are forced to licence, and you're the only one.
                You forced them to pay overpriced fees as they have no other choice to pay...it's standard. Without licences you can't release your phone and you can't have these licences elsewhere.
                You can lower the price of your soc and force OEM to buy if.
                Competitors die.
                You can even prevent competitor's birth...Qualcomm refuse to licence LG Electronic when they developpe their own soc, they never released it.

                      On some features, it is better than SD730...
                      G90T is even able to manage multi-frame noise reduction up to 64MP when SD855 can't over 48MP.

                              Many says Redmi Note 8 use Samsung 48 mpx GM2. Many other also says it use Samsung 48 mpx GM1. Google it Redmi Note 8 GM1 vs Redmi Note 8 GM2, both has many result. Logic dictate that Xiaomi is a great vendor, it many times distrupt price of smartphone. Based on this logic, it should be GM2. But the official slide says it GM1. Perhaps the Redmi Note 8 launch team wrong about it? GSM Arena also have mention GM2.

                                      Right now. a more interesting comparison is between the recent Redmi Note 7S and the latest Redmi Note 8. Both 4GB/64GB variants are Rs 9999 at present and here in India.
